To expand Tam Trinh Street (Hoang Mai District) to 3.5 km long, the contractor is focusing resources on site clearance and construction to expand it to 40 m with 6 lanes.
In 2012, Hanoi approved the investment project to build Tam Trinh Street (Hoang Mai District) about 3.5 km long, starting at Minh Khai Street, ending at Ring Road 3 with a total investment of 2,066 billion VND. The project started in 2016, expected to be completed after 3 years, but until now it has not been able to be constructed for many reasons, the biggest difficulty of which is site clearance.
By December 2023, the Hanoi People's Committee issued a decision to adjust the project, increasing the investment capital to VND 3,354 billion, an increase of VND 1,287 billion. At the same time, the project implementation period was also adjusted from 2016-2026.
To implement the project, Hoang Mai district must clear over 54,000 square meters of land, involving 1,583 households and 19 organizations in the wards of Hoang Van Thu, Yen So and Mai Dong.
Currently, at locations with clean land, contractors are focusing resources on deploying machinery and materials to serve project construction.
Items such as: undergrounding of wastewater and rainwater drainage systems, digging and filling of roadbeds, spreading crushed stone as well as treating weak soil at locations with clean ground.
In the photo, the contractor is expanding and installing a drainage system in front of house number 631 Tam Trinh.
The Kim Nguu River embankment on Tam Trinh Street is being renovated.
To ensure safety during construction, the contractor has fenced the site and constructed inside the fence; at the same time, taking advantage of all available locations for construction, even arranging construction at night to avoid affecting traffic, arranging warning signs and personnel to coordinate with functional forces to regulate and divert traffic during rush hours.
It is expected that the site clearance work will be completed by the end of 2024. When there is enough land, the contractor will carry out construction simultaneously along the entire route.
After being expanded, Tam Trinh Street will have a cross-section of 40 m with 6 lanes, expected to reduce traffic pressure on the main roads of the southern gateway of the capital.
