Teacher Hau inspires creativity in young people

Six years ago, when Huynh Thuc Khang High School began to focus on programs to encourage students to study science and technology, Mr. Hau enthusiastically participated. “Since I was a child, I have loved exploring machines. When I saw many talented and creative Tien Phuoc students who did not realize that passion could be developed into the ability to conquer science and technology, I wanted to fulfill my childhood dream. I connect and inspire students to create science and technology in the era of strong digital transformation, especially in education,” said Mr. Hau.

To effectively support students, Mr. Hau said that he often carefully studies the guidelines of science and technology competitions. He constantly learns from his colleagues and consults award-winning scientific and technical research products to gain experience. From there, the teacher from Tien often suggests topics in the field of mechanical engineering, helping students' projects not only be new and unique but also highly applicable and deeply humane.

Having spent 3 years in high school with Mr. Hau, with scientific and technical research topics that won high prizes at science and technology innovation competitions at the school and provincial levels, polytechnic student Ta Quang Bao (former student of Huynh Thuc Khang High School) said: "Mr. Hau followed me closely from the time I came up with an idea to the time I finalized a research product. I remember the sprint times, when my teacher and I sometimes stayed up until 1-2 am to complete the project before the competition... Most of my topics were guided by him to report and orient the feasibility."

Still feeling elated after being successfully "driven" by that teacher, winning the second prize in national science and technology research, Nguyen Nguyen Khoi (grade 11, Huynh Thuc Khang High School) shared: "Having a firm grasp of the regulations and rules of each youth innovation competition, teacher Hau is always there to urge me to complete my research products neatly and on time. Sometimes when we have difficulty finding raw materials or making reports, teacher Hau will wholeheartedly support us."

- "Plastic waste incinerator reduces environmental emissions" by students Nguyen Duc Trung and Nguyen Tra Anh Khoa won third prize in the Provincial Science and Technology Research Competition for the 2018-2019 school year;
