On the morning of January 1 at Tien Sa Port, the Da Nang tourism industry and related units solemnly welcomed nearly 2,000 European and American tourists on the Noordam cruise ship (one of four ships in the Vista Class of Holland American Line).
The Noordam cruise ship departed from Singapore on December 22, 2024, passing through Thailand and Cambodia before arriving in Da Nang. In Da Nang, visitors will spend 2 days visiting famous destinations such as Ngu Hanh Son, Linh Ung Son Tra Pagoda, Cham Sculpture Museum, My Khe Beach and exploring the city by cyclo.
Information at the welcoming ceremony said that the number of visitors to Da Nang by sea will grow strongly in 2025. Tien Sa Port is expected to welcome 76 ships (an increase of 41 compared to 2024) with an estimated number of visitors reaching more than 70,000 (expected to increase by 64% compared to 2024).
On the same morning, at the Domestic and International Arrivals Terminals of Da Nang International Airport, the Da Nang Department of Tourism and Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company held a welcoming ceremony for the flights bringing the first tourists to Da Nang in the new year 2025.
Da Nang Department of Tourism has prepared nearly 1,000 service experience vouchers to give to the first air travelers to Da Nang.
According to the Da Nang Department of Tourism, on the first day of 2025, Da Nang International Airport welcomed 125 flights to Da Nang (including 57 international flights). During the 2025 New Year holiday (from December 28, 2024 to January 1, 2025), Da Nang International Airport welcomed more than 600 flights (an increase of 15.6% over the same period in 2024).
The leaders of the Da Nang Department of Tourism said that the positive signals on the first day of the new year 2025 bring great expectations for the Da Nang tourism industry. In 2025, Da Nang aims to attract more than 11.9 million arrivals (an increase of 10% compared to 2024), with revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and travel reaching more than 36 trillion VND (an increase of more than 16% compared to 2024, equal to 169% compared to 2019).
