Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh presents flowers and souvenirs to tourists

The cruise ship Anthem Of The Seas, Bahamas nationality, Royal Caribbean shipping line carrying 4,455 tourists from the UK, Australia, America... docked at 7am and left the port at 8pm the same day.

According to Saigontourist Travel Service Company Limited, the company has exploited nearly 2,000 customers to buy tours. After the ship docks, tourists will visit tourist attractions and enjoy cuisine in Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Nam in 1 day. In Hue alone, the company has exploited more than 500 customers to visit famous tourist attractions such as the Imperial City, Tu Duc Tomb, Thien Mu Pagoda, etc.

At the program to welcome the cruise ship, leaders of the City People's Committee, Department of Tourism, Tourism Association, Phu Loc District People's Committee, Chan May Port Joint Stock Company, Border Guard Command, Chan May Port Border Guard Station, Maritime Port Authority, Chan May Port Customs Sub-Department, Hue City Economic and Industrial Zone Management Board, Saigontourist Travel Service Company Limited and representatives of relevant agencies, departments and branches welcomed, presented flowers and gifts to the first tourists to Hue City by sea in 2025, along with a joyful and bustling lion dance performance to welcome the new year; leaders of Hue City People's Committee also gave special souvenirs to the captain and crew.

Ms. Laura Kozlowski (American nationality) shared: “I am really impressed with the welcome of the local tourism industry. Everyone is very friendly. I know Vietnam in general, Hue in particular, is very beautiful and I hope to have many interesting experiences here.”

Royal Caribbean invited city leaders, the Department of Tourism and delegates to visit the cockpit operations area.

This is one of the activities to celebrate the New Year and launch a series of events and tourism activities of the city in 2025, while creating an impression for tourists of an attractive, safe, friendly and hospitable destination; continue to strengthen communication to promote Hue tourism destinations, products and services to attract tourists, especially cruise tourists.

In 2024, the tourism industry welcomed 40 cruise ships docking at Chan May Port with more than 90,000 passengers and crew members to Hue. Up to now, there have been 49 cruise ships carrying nearly 99,998 passengers and 39,212 crew members registered to dock at Chan May Port in 2025.
