In recent times, the Ha Tinh Propaganda Department has proactively innovated its content and methods of operation, flexibly adapting to the situation. Thereby contributing to creating unity within the Party, consensus in the whole society, and successfully implementing the province's political tasks.

The history of the Party's Propaganda Branch's Traditional Day is closely linked to the journey of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc to find a way to save the country and to spread that way to Vietnam. Propaganda work was directly carried out by Nguyen Ai Quoc and his predecessors through the forms of printing, publishing, distributing documents, books, newspapers, leaflets, organizing cadre training classes... At the same time, the predecessor revolutionary organizations of the Communist Party of Vietnam also established specialized departments in charge of propaganda work such as the Training Department, the Propaganda Department...

After the Party's founding conference on February 3, 1930, the Party established the Party's Propaganda and Agitation Committee. The Propaganda and Agitation Committee organized propaganda activities, mobilizing workers and farmers to hold rallies and demonstrations against terrorism, demanding national independence and democracy.

On August 1, 1930, on the occasion of the International Day of Struggle Against Imperialist War and for Peace, the Propaganda and Agitation Committee published a document entitled “International Red Day, August 1”.

Immediately after its release, the document created a great resonance, strongly encouraging the revolutionary masses of our country to rise up to fight against imperialism, oppression, exploitation, oppose the war of aggression, and support the national liberation movement. Since then, August 1st has become a historical milestone, marking a very meaningful activity for the Party's propaganda work.

Appreciating this historical event of special significance, in 2000, the Politburo (VIII tenure) decided to take August 1st every year as the Traditional Day of the Party's ideological and cultural work. In 2007, after merging the Central Ideological and Cultural Commission and the Central Science and Education Commission into the Central Propaganda Commission, the Central Party Secretariat (X tenure) decided to take August 1st every year as the Traditional Day of the Party's Propaganda sector.

Over the 93-year history of construction and development, the Party's specialized agency for propaganda work has had different names and has been divided and merged several times to suit the requirements and tasks of each revolutionary stage. However, in every stage, propaganda work has "gone ahead to pave the way, gone together to carry out, gone after to summarize", making great contributions to the revolutionary cause of the nation led by the Party.

With the motto of innovation, improving the overall quality of propaganda work in the new situation, closely following the direction and guidance of the Central Propaganda Department, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Ha Tinh Propaganda Department has proactively innovated the content and methods of operation, flexibly adapted to the situation, actively performed assigned tasks and achieved quite comprehensive results in the work of Party building and rectification, especially in the fields of politics, ideology and ethics. Thereby contributing to creating unity within the Party, consensus in the whole society, successfully implementing the political tasks of the province.

Particularly since the beginning of the 2020-2025 term up to now, despite many difficulties, the whole industry has proactively advised the Party Committee to comprehensively implement all areas of Propaganda work, achieving many outstanding results.

The Provincial Party Executive Committee held a conference to review 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 07-NQ/TU dated April 27, 2018 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee on strengthening Party building and people's organizations in enterprises; Resolution No. 09-NQ/TU dated May 19, 2018 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on continuing to innovate and improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda work in the new situation.

The Propaganda Department has advised and directed, innovated methods and ways of organizing the study and dissemination of Party resolutions, flexibly and appropriately to practical situations; monitored, guided, inspected and supervised the implementation; advised and summarized Party directives and resolutions to ensure quality, efficiency and timeliness.

Propaganda work was deployed promptly, ensuring content, creating great influence, promptly orienting information, overcoming the situation of slow and noisy information, thereby helping party members at the grassroots level to fully grasp and correctly understand the nature of events, contributing to creating excitement, strengthening the trust of cadres, party members and people in the Party's guidelines, the country's development path, and the cultural and revolutionary traditions of the homeland.

The implementation of Conclusion No. 01-KL/TW of the Politburo on continuing to promote studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle has been seriously directed and achieved positive results. The exemplary role of Party members and cadres, especially leaders, has been promoted; many typical collectives and individuals have been built in studying and following Uncle Ho, creating a spread among cadres, Party members and the People, contributing to creating political stability, social order and safety, and successfully implementing political tasks.

The Propaganda Department at all levels has made many innovations in propagating socio-economic tasks, especially coordinating with authorities at all levels in proactively providing information to propagate socio-economic development tasks, national defense and security, typically in the fields of building new rural areas and civilized urban areas; attracting investment; promoting the cultural traditions of Ha Tinh people; political activities have been focused on and directed methodically and resolutely...

The Steering Committee for Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation, Fighting and Refuting Wrong and Hostile Views (referred to as Steering Committee 35) of Ha Tinh province won the excellent collective award at the second political writing contest "Protecting the Party's Ideological Foundation, Fighting and Refuting Wrong and Hostile Views in the New Situation" in 2022.

The work of protecting the Party's ideological foundation and combating the wrong views of hostile forces has been carried out regularly and extensively, especially in cyberspace; activities to grasp and reflect public opinion have been carried out; science and education have continued to have positive changes; and political and ideological education has been diversified in its forms.

Regularly direct state management agencies to strengthen press management and promptly handle press issues to ensure compliance with legal regulations.

To continue to meet the requirements of the tasks in the coming time, the whole industry continues to focus on innovating the content and methods of operation, improving the quality and effectiveness of propaganda work at all levels to meet the requirements of the period of industrialization, modernization and international integration.

The propaganda sector regularly follows reality, promptly grasps the ideological situation of cadres, party members and people; is an important information channel to orient and provide official information on the Party and State's policies and guidelines, creating unity within the Party, consensus in the whole society, encouraging actions for cadres, party members and people; actively protects the Party's ideological foundation; effectively fights against false information and distorted arguments, contributing to maintaining political stability and promoting socio-economic development in the area.

Effectively propagandize the work of Party building and rectification; prevent and repel the degradation of political ideology, morality, lifestyle, manifestations of self-evolution, "self-transformation" within the Party; bring the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style into depth and substance, creating a wider spread in society. Thereby, contributing significantly to the successful implementation of the goals of the 13th National Party Congress, the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.
