Meeting to check the progress of organizing activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification

Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Truc Son delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

The ceremony to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the awarding of the Nguyen Dinh Chieu Prize is expected to be held on April 24, 2025. Along with that, activities in the series of events will be organized such as: provincial-level seminar "50 years of Ben Tre literature and art after the country's reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), special art performance program, exhibition of images of the province's achievements, literary and artistic publications, art photography contest, awarding of the Nguyen Dinh Chieu Prize, activities to launch, start construction, and inaugurate projects in localities, the program "The grace of the coconut homeland - Aspiration to reach far" for the second time.

Currently, regarding the progress of the celebration, according to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (standing agency) and specialized agencies, they have coordinated to deploy tasks related to logistics, reception, consulting on speeches, and developing program scripts. Response activities are also being carried out, with the peak from April 17 to 29, 2025.

It is expected that on the evening of April 17, 2025, the opening ceremony of Ben Tre Province Book and Reading Culture Day will take place in conjunction with the second program "Coconut Hometown Grace - Aspiration to Reach Far"; on the evening of April 19, 2025, a special art program will take place to celebrate 50 years of Ben Tre Province's literature and art.

The Organizing Committee continues to focus on logistics, reception, security and order for the event, preparing to launch, start construction, and inaugurate projects, and urgently complete the reportage "Achievements of Ben Tre province after 50 years of national reunification".

To successfully organize the anniversary activities, the Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Truc Son suggested: Units and investors of projects should review the projects that will definitely be inaugurated, started, and launched on this anniversary to implement them well, proactively complete the plan to organize the inauguration, starting, and launching, and issue appropriate invitations to delegates.

For approved tasks as well as jointly organized activities and art programs, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is assigned as the direct unit in charge to continue to monitor throughout for thorough implementation. For the program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South and national reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), the organizing committee will review logistics and reception stages, promptly issue invitations in a timely and complete manner. The assigned units are requested to carefully organize this series of events, ensuring the meaning, content, security and order.
