The festival also aims to affirm the long-standing cultural activities that have important significance in the spiritual life of the people. From there, it helps to preserve and pass on culture between generations, contributing to promoting tourism in the city.
Within the framework of the festival, special cultural and sports activities such as folk painting, tug of war, fruit cake display competition, traditional ao dai performance, etc. create a bustling and vibrant atmosphere.
Mr. Truong Thanh Dung - Permanent Vice Chairman of Hai Chau District People's Committee (Da Nang City) - expressed his respect to the predecessors who had contributed to reclaiming land and establishing the village.
"Throughout the ups and downs of history, Hai Chau communal house festival has been preserved and promoted, becoming an indispensable cultural beauty in the spiritual life of the people.

More than a ritual, this is also a vivid lesson about the morality of drinking water and remembering its source, helping today's and future generations always remember the contributions of their ancestors in the journey of founding and protecting their homeland and country," said Mr. Dung.
For local people, Hai Chau communal house is considered the heart of the living museum of Da Nang city. It is known that Hai Chau communal house was built in the 5th year of Gia Long, i.e. 1806, to worship the village's tutelary god and the ancestors of 42 clans from Tinh Gia district, Thanh Hoa province who followed King Le Thanh Tong to the South to reclaim land in 1471.
