The Hydrometeorological Agency said that currently, the cold air mass has continued to move south.

It is forecasted that from noon and afternoon on April 12, this cold air mass will affect the Northeast region, then affect the Northwest, North Central and North Central regions. Inland, the wind will change to Northeast level 3, coastal areas level 4-5, with some places gusting above level 6.

From the night of April 12, the weather in the North and North Central regions will turn cold, with some mountainous areas in the North experiencing cold weather; from the night of April 13-14, the night and morning will be cold. The lowest temperature during this cold spell in the North will generally be between 16-19 degrees Celsius, with some mountainous areas below 13 degrees Celsius; the North Central region will generally be between 17-20 degrees Celsius.

Hanoi area from the night of April 12, the weather will turn cold; from the night of April 13-14, the night and morning will be cold. The lowest temperature in this cold air mass is commonly 17-19 degrees Celsius.

Due to the influence of cold air, from early morning on April 12, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the Northeast, the rain will gradually decrease at night; during the day and night of April 12, in the Northwest region of the North and Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain.

In addition, in the evening and night of April 12, in the area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain in some places.

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind; warning of the risk of localized heavy rain with high intensity (>80mm/6h).

At sea, from the afternoon of April 12, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the wind will gradually change to the northeast, increasing to level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9, rough seas, waves 2.0-3.0m high; from the evening and night of April 12, in the northern sea area of ​​the North East Sea, the wind will gradually change to the northeast, increasing to level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, waves 2.0-3.0m high. From the night of April 12, in the area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai, the wind will gradually increase to level 5, sometimes increasing to level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, waves 1.5-2.5m high.

Regarding the hot weather, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting predicts that on April 12, the Southeast region will experience hot weather with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-36 degrees Celsius; the lowest relative humidity commonly ranging from 50-55%.

The heat wave warning in the Southeast region is likely to last for the coming days. From April 12, the heat wave will end in the Northwest region of the North and the western mountainous region from Thanh Hoa to Hue.

Thanh Hoa - Thua Thien Hue

Da Nang - Binh Thuan
