DNVN - VNG Corporation has just announced its financial report as of September 30 with accumulated revenue for the first 9 months reaching 6,892 billion VND, adjusted net profit from business activities reaching 424 billion VND, a strong growth compared to the loss of 123 billion VND in the same period in 2023.
According to VNG, the core segments all closely followed the business plan, in which Zalo recorded good results from value-added services; Zalopay continuously expanded its platform scale; VNG Digital Business (VNG DB) had positive revenue growth from the corporate customer group.
Revenue from international markets continued to increase, although online gaming revenue decreased slightly. The company continued to promote strategic spearheads such as AI; continuously announced cooperation with large, reputable partners at home and abroad; at the same time, always ensuring social responsibilities, persistently pursuing the goal of developing valuable technology for Vietnamese users.
Zalo currently has more than 77 million users.
Total bookings for the online gaming segment reached VND5,606 billion, down slightly compared to the same period in 2023, of which 26% were bookings from the international market. This segment also recorded the number of quarterly active users (QAU) reaching more than 77 million.
Zalo recorded 77.6 million monthly active users (MAU), up 3% year-on-year, and nearly 1.97 billion messages sent per day, growing both in users and revenue from services. Zalopay grew 38% in total payment volume and revenue from financial services increased 196% compared to the first 9 months of 2023.
VNG DB recorded a 58% revenue growth compared to the same period in 2023, of which revenue from the global market increased 14 times and accounted for 38% of total revenue. By the end of September 2024, VNG's total contributions to the state budget reached more than 700 billion VND.
