Determining that production and business activities are closely linked to community development, Thanh Hoa Petroleum Company always accompanies the province in social security activities. Outstanding activities that have been and are being implemented by the company include caring for seriously wounded soldiers and martyrs' relatives in difficult circumstances; sponsoring the Ten Tan Border Guard Station; giving Tet gifts to the poor and families with meritorious services in difficult circumstances; supporting the education promotion fund, supporting the construction of houses for poor households and people affected by natural disasters, storms and floods... The total amount of money spent on social security work in the first 9 months of 2024 is 5.3 billion VND. Mr. Le Viet Khoat, Chairman of the company's trade union, shared: "We identify that participating in community activities is not only a responsibility but also a sentiment of the company's staff and workers towards the government and people of the province".
Currently, Thanh Hoa province has nearly 21,000 operating enterprises, including 78 state-owned enterprises, 112 foreign-invested enterprises and 20,000 non-state-owned enterprises. Not only paying attention to developing production and business, ensuring income and improving the lives of workers, the business community and entrepreneurs of Thanh Hoa are also a pioneer force, playing an important role in social security activities. In 2023 alone, with the motto "Business associated with social responsibility", the business community and entrepreneurs inside and outside the province contributed nearly 50 billion VND to the "For the Poor" fund at all levels and nearly 160 billion VND to implement the social security program, supporting the construction of 832 Great Solidarity houses for the poor, people in difficult circumstances, hundreds of civil works, tens of thousands of Tet gifts and many activities to help families with preferential policies, people with meritorious services, social protection beneficiaries, the disabled, orphans with no place to rely on...
In particular, responding to the Appeal Letter "Supporting and assisting in building houses for poor households, policy families, and households with housing difficulties in Thanh Hoa province", promoting the spirit of solidarity and "mutual love", at the launching ceremony (held on April 15), many enterprises participated in supporting with an amount of nearly 40 billion VND. Typically, Long Son Cement Company supported 10 billion VND; Dai Duong Cement Company supported 5 billion VND; Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development supported 1 billion VND; BIDV Thanh Hoa Bank supported 800 million VND; Dong A Real Estate Group supported 500 million VND...
