The growth of the business community not only contributes to promoting economic growth, but also builds the foundation for Gia Lai to enter a new era - the era of rising up with the nation.

Similarly, with nearly 20 years of operation, Dai Viet Development Joint Stock Company (Dien Hong Ward, Pleiku City) has also made a strong mark in the field of traffic construction and mineral exploitation. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam - Director of the Company - shared: In recent times, Dai Viet has focused on investing in technology and modern equipment to improve production capacity; at the same time, focusing on training high-quality human resources to optimize work processes. In addition, we are constantly expanding the scale of traffic construction projects, mineral exploitation, diversifying products and services to meet market demand. In recent years, the sports movement in the province has developed vigorously with soccer fields, a series of cross-country, golf, pickleball tournaments... The success in organizing these competitions is more or less due to the presence of Tam Nguyen Sports and Event Solutions One Member Co., Ltd. (Hoi Phu Ward, Pleiku City).

Talking about the journey to affirm the Company's position, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tam - Director of the Company - confided: "In 2006, I started my business with only 1 silk screen printing machine for printing shirts and uniforms, which was purchased for about 10 million VND. After a period of perseverance, in 2010, I saved a little capital, so I opened a uniform sewing factory for students and employees of restaurants, eateries... And my Company was born from there."

In the years before the Covid-19 pandemic broke out, the sports movement with mini soccer fields developed rapidly. Realizing that this was a field with much room for growth, Tam Nguyen Company boldly shifted its activities to organizing sports events with grassroots soccer tournaments. After the Covid-19 pandemic, the sports movement in the province shifted to sports such as jogging, golf, etc., so in addition to the event organization sector, Tam Nguyen Company also developed the apparel and accessories business. With a spirit of perseverance and diligence, Tam Nguyen Company gradually asserted itself in a field that was still very new.

“I chose the slogan for myself as “Going forever will make a way”. Luckily, in the past 2-3 years, Gia Lai has promoted tourism development, accordingly, a series of cross-country and marathon races have been organized. And Tam Nguyen Company is the first event organization company in Gia Lai to participate in organizing these races. Besides, experiential tourism, eco-tourism… are also developing strongly, so we have invested more in this field and have had certain successes. I am trying my best not only to develop my own company but also to contribute to the community. I want to build a production facility to create jobs for ethnic minorities and people with disabilities”- Director of Tam Nguyen Company said.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan - Permanent Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Provincial Business Association - commented: "In the past 20 years, the business community of the province has entered a period of strong development. The business community has made many important contributions to the economic growth rate (GRDP) of the province, reaching an average of 6.36%/year".

For a strong business community

On March 6, speaking at the launching ceremony of the Entrepreneurs' Coffee model, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Rah Lan Chung emphasized: "The success of entrepreneurs and enterprises is also the success of the province. With the motto "Listening, understanding entrepreneurs and enterprises to accompany, share and support entrepreneurs and enterprises", through direct meetings and exchanges, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee hope that entrepreneurs and enterprises will accompany the province; continue to give advice and contribute new ideas to build the province to develop more and more".

On October 10, 2023, the Politburo issued Resolution No. 41-NQ/TW on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new era. Implementing Resolution No. 41-NQ/TW, the Provincial Party Standing Committee also issued Action Program No. 76-CTr/TU on building and promoting the role of Vietnamese entrepreneurs in the new era.

The program sets out 7 specific tasks and solutions, including: raising awareness of the position and role of the business community in implementing the country's development goals; perfecting policies and laws to create a favorable, safe and equal investment and business environment for business people and enterprises to develop and contribute; developing a strong business community on par with the goals and tasks of national development in the new period; building business ethics and culture, promoting national spirit, arousing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country; strengthening solidarity, cooperation and association between business people and workers, farmers and intellectuals under the leadership of the Party; promoting the role of the Provincial Business Association and associations representing business people and enterprises in the province; strengthening the leadership of the Party and the management of the State in building and promoting the role of the business community.

In recent times, Gia Lai has implemented many activities to promote the strong development of the business community. Notably, supporting businesses in accessing information and policies; promoting administrative reform and digital transformation, including promoting the reception and settlement of administrative procedures online, contributing to significantly reducing time and costs for businesses; speeding up the implementation and disbursement of public investment capital... Many meetings and dialogues have been organized for provincial leaders to promptly grasp the thoughts, aspirations, recommendations and proposals of businesses, thereby having activities to resolve and remove them.

Most recently, the Business Coffee model held every Thursday morning is a positive move by the provincial leaders to demonstrate the spirit of companionship between the local government and the business community.

“However, Gia Lai has over 99% of medium, small and micro enterprises; financial capacity, management, technology, market thinking are still limited, not fully exploiting the potential and strengths of the province. In order to continue to create new motivation for enterprises to break through and continuously develop, the Provincial Business Association recommends that the provincial government continue to organize investment attraction in the province's strong fields; timely disbursement of public investment capital; creating a very open business environment. In addition, the Provincial People's Committee proposes that the Government has a policy to encourage the commercial banking system to lend capital to small enterprises for production and business, which is secured by assets formed in the future, because this is a bottleneck in production and business of enterprises due to insufficient assets to mortgage for loans" - the Standing Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Provincial Business Association proposed.
