At a press conference providing information about the "Outstanding Enterprises for Workers 2023" program on the afternoon of October 23, Ms. Dinh Thi Hong Hanh, representative of a garment company in Thai Binh and Hung Yen provinces, said that 2023 is an extremely difficult year.
Due to lack of orders, many businesses have had to stop operations or cut staff to reduce costs.

To maintain jobs for nearly 17,000 workers, this company decided to accept small orders, processed goods, low-profit goods...
"The company's management does not allow any layoffs. We focus on improving production efficiency and reorganizing production instead of cutting staff," Ms. Hanh informed.
Speaking at the press conference, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Tran Thanh Hai said that sustainable development of enterprises has important contributions from workers. Workers are a part of enterprises, an important factor in creating products for society.
The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs; the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor jointly organized the Ranking and Awards for Outstanding Enterprises for Employees.
Mr. Tran Thanh Hai assessed that the 2023 Employee Enterprise Ranking has been basically completed, ensuring regulations and close coordination between the 3 organizing units.

In 2023, the program has many positive changes. In the general context of the economy with many prolonged difficulties, keeping a job is difficult, but many businesses still strive to improve the quality of life of workers.
Mr. Hoang Quang Phong, Vice President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), highly appreciated the initiative of the three agencies in implementing the program to honor Enterprises for Workers over the past years. Despite countless difficulties, many enterprises have made efforts to overcome difficulties and rise up.
"The greatest happiness of a business is to create jobs for workers. The greatest happiness of workers is to have a job and a satisfactory income.
Honoring businesses is a timely encouragement and motivation for businesses to overcome difficulties, reach the destination of success, create more jobs, and contribute to the development of the country," Mr. Phong shared.
The program "Typical enterprises for workers" is chaired by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in coordination with the Ministry of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs and the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry, assigned to Lao Dong Newspaper as the direct implementing unit, continuously since 2014 up to now.
The program selects and honors businesses that have made continuous efforts to improve the working environment, care for the material and spiritual life of employees; build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations to move towards sustainable development in the process of integration and development.
The program includes the "Outstanding Enterprises for Employees" Ranking (annual ranking) and the "Outstanding Enterprises for Employees" Award (every 3 years).
