Previously, in June, the Food Safety Department sent a dispatch requesting provinces and cities to strengthen food poisoning prevention.
In particular, it is necessary to strengthen the inspection, examination and supervision of food safety, resolutely handle and suspend the operations of establishments that do not ensure food safety conditions, establishments without certificates of food safety eligibility (for establishments that are required to be granted); focusing on establishments that produce ready-to-eat food, street food, establishments that sell soft drinks, ice, food service establishments, and collective kitchens in schools, hospitals, industrial parks, and export processing zones.
Pay attention to controlling food safety and quality for foods, foodstuffs, and drinks donated by organizations and individuals, or to support people during the hot and rainy seasons, to ensure that no spoiled, moldy, crushed, unknown-origin, or expired products reach people.
For areas at high risk of being affected by storms and floods, it is necessary to monitor forecasts and developments of storms and floods in the area and proactively plan to stockpile food, processed food, bottled water, vitamins, medicines, and medical disinfectants.
