The content of the congratulatory message reads:
“During the 69-year historical journey, especially after 37 years of implementing the comprehensive renovation policy, under the wise leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao country and people have promoted the heroic revolutionary tradition, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and achieved great and historic achievements in the past struggle for national liberation, as well as in the current renovation, protection and construction of the country, contributing to enhancing the prestige and position of the Lao Party and State in the international arena. Those achievements are the common joy of the two Parties, two States and people of the two countries.
The Party, State and people of Vietnam strongly and comprehensively support Laos's renovation and firmly believe that, continuing the nation's glorious historical tradition and promoting the achievements gained in recent years, under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao people and country will continue to gain many new and greater achievements in the renovation, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 11th Congress of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, successfully organizing Party Congresses at all levels towards the 12th Congress of the Party; successfully building a peaceful, independent, democratic, unified and prosperous Laos according to the socialist goal.
The Party and State of Vietnam are extremely pleased and proud to see that, along with the important achievements that the two Parties, two States and peoples have attained in recent times, the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos founded, forged and nurtured by the great President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane and President Souphanouvong, and nurtured by generations of leaders of the two Parties, two States and peoples, has been continuously consolidated and developed, becoming increasingly deeper, practical and effective in all fields, actively contributing to the cause of innovation, national construction and defense in each country.
The Party, State and people of Vietnam always appreciate and remember the strong support, the great, valuable, wholehearted, righteous and effective assistance that the Lao Party, State and people have given to the Party, State and people of Vietnam over the past time. We will do our utmost together with the Lao Party, State and people to preserve, protect and foster the special solidarity relationship between Vietnam and Laos to develop more and more, for the benefit of the people of each country, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
