Also within the framework of the conference, under the witness of the Prime Ministers of Vietnam and Laos, Vietnam Chemical Group was honored to receive the Investment License and cooperation documents from Comrade Phet Phomphiphac, Minister of Planning and Investment of Laos, for the Group to continue implementing the Potash Salt Mining Project in Khammouan Province, Lao PDR, a national project, deeply demonstrating the close relationship between the two countries.
At the Conference, Mr. Phung Quang Hiep affirmed his determination to successfully implement the Salt Mine Project in Khamuone Province, Lao PDR. The Vietnam Chemical Group determined that the successful and timely implementation of this Project is one of the most important political tasks for the Vietnam Chemical Group in 2025 and the following years.
With that viewpoint, the Group thoroughly adheres to the viewpoint of "not talking about difficulties, only proposing solutions to implement the Project". Vietnam Chemical Group will focus all resources, closely coordinate with related units to organize and implement the Project, with the highest determination to meet the progress as required by competent authorities.
In addition to the salt mining project, the Vietnam Chemical Group and its member units have promoted cooperation and trade in many fields in Laos with fertilizer products, car and motorbike tires, and batteries exported to Laos, reaching an export turnover of nearly 5 million USD/year.
Especially in the agricultural sector, with an export turnover of millions of USD each year and advanced farming pilot programs, the Group not only contributes to bringing sustainable value to the Lao agricultural sector, but also affirms the position of the Vietnamese brand in the regional and international markets.
Along with that, Vietnam Chemical Group affirmed that the salt mine project in Laos is not only an economic task, but also a political symbol, demonstrating the close connection and cooperation between the two countries. The Group will continue to coordinate closely with the Government agencies of the two countries to ensure the progress and effectiveness of the project.
In the coming time, with the plan to put the rock salt processing factory into commercial operation in July 2027, the Potash Rock Salt Mining Project in Laos of the Vietnam Chemical Group is expected to bring great economic value, along with the role of the Project for the community, including providing jobs and income for local people; at the same time, actively contributing to public service activities serving people in the area where the project is implemented, contributing to ensuring social security and promoting economic development of Laos.
