On the morning of September 10, in Hanoi, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, Chairman of the Central Council for Coordinating Law Dissemination and Education, chaired the 2024 Business and Law Forum, with the theme "Joining hands to solve legal issues, contributing to creating a favorable investment and business environment for enterprises". Comrade Nghiem Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended at the Quang Ninh bridge.

In the first 9 months of 2024, the Government held 9 thematic meetings on law-making; the Government issued 122 Decrees, 215 Resolutions, the Prime Minister issued 1,129 Decisions, 35 Directives, and held 3 Steering Committee meetings on reviewing and handling legal issues and problems. These specific actions, along with the drastic direction of the Government and the Prime Minister in the work of building and perfecting policies and laws, have significantly contributed to promoting socio-economic development in recent times. GDP in the third quarter increased by 7.4%, in the first 9 months of 2024 increased by 6.82%, the macro economy was stable, inflation was controlled, and major balances were ensured.
At the Forum, delegates focused on discussing two major issues: legal problems regarding procedures, formalities, and preparation time for investment projects using land and solutions to overcome them; some legal problems regarding taxes, procedures, and value-added tax refunds and solutions to overcome them.
After listening to the discussion opinions and giving instructions at the Forum, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long, Chairman of the Central Council for Coordinating the Dissemination and Education of Law, emphasized that the implementation of legal policies must be based on the spirit of taking people and enterprises as the center, subject, goal and driving force for development. The relevant ministries and branches continue to coordinate and deploy many solutions to solve legal problems for enterprises, focusing on solutions to promote the improvement of legal institutions. The Forum continues to be an opportunity for ministries and branches to listen to feedback from the business community, promptly grasp and identify legal problems, difficulties and obstacles in the implementation process, thereby proposing solutions to remove them, creating a favorable environment for investment, production and business of enterprises.

This is the second time the Forum has been held, as an activity under the Inter-sectoral Legal Support Program for Small and Medium Enterprises for the period 2021 - 2025. This is also a practical event in response to Vietnamese Entrepreneurs Day (October 13, 2024) and Vietnamese Law Day (November 9, 2024).
