Recently, a restaurant in Shanghai attracted attention from the online community when it sold a plate of boiled chicken, about half a chicken, for up to 480 Yuan (more than 1.6 million VND).

The dish surprised and angered many diners and social media followers, especially when the restaurant explained that the chicken was fed milk and played classical music.

The incident began with a video shared by a diner on social media, in which he expressed surprise and confusion at seeing a tiny plate of chicken priced at 480 yuan.

His account has more than 270,000 followers. He said he couldn't contain his curiosity and asked the restaurant staff about the chicken farming method.

The staff replied that the chickens were raised in a very special way, which was to drink milk and listen to classical music. They also revealed that this breed of chicken was called "sunflower" chicken, raised on a farm in Guangdong province.

The chicken is popular for its delicious flavor, tender meat, and characteristic golden color. The price for a whole sunflower chicken at restaurants can be up to more than 1,000 yuan (3.5 million VND), double the price of a regular chicken, SCMP reported on March 24.

The story quickly went viral, attracting the attention of the online community. Many people expressed doubts about the information that the chickens were fed milk and listened to classical music.

Some people think this is just a trick of the restaurant to push up the price of the dish. Many people criticize the restaurant for selling a plate of chicken at an exorbitant price.

Previously, a store in China sold an 800g toast imported from Japan for 98 yuan (346,000 VND), while a similar product in Japan costs only half that. Despite the sky-high price, people still lined up to buy and enjoy it.
