Located about 30km from the center of Hanoi, Binh Minh quarry (in Quoc Oai district) is a newly emerging camping site, attracting the attention of those who love to travel and explore. This place impresses with its wild, quiet landscape, with a small lake in the middle, surrounded by lush green grass and undulating hills. Because it is located in the suburbs, this area has a fresh, cool atmosphere, suitable for tourists to "change the wind" on the weekend, temporarily away from the noise and suffocation in the city. Having known about Binh Minh quarry through a friend in Quoc Oai, Chu Danh Hieu (born in 2002, living in Hanoi) had the opportunity to visit this place twice. The most recent time was at the end of October, Hieu spent about a day exploring and camping overnight here. The male tourist was especially impressed with the night scene at the quarry. “Because it is quite far from the city center and the space is not polluted, this destination is an ideal coordinate for tourists to watch the stars and the night sky. Besides, standing from the quarry area, tourists can also look far away, admiring the sparkling, romantic scene of the city when the lights come on,” Hieu shared. According to the young man, the road to Binh Minh quarry is quite convenient, personal vehicles such as cars or motorbikes can reach the place. "The road here is mainly asphalt, quite easy to find and easy to go. Only the last 100m before reaching the camping site is gravel road, a bit bad but still passable", the 10X added. As a new destination, there are no tourist services in the Binh Minh quarry area. If visitors want to stay overnight, they need to prepare essential camping items such as tents, sleeping bags, lights, food, drinks, etc. Hieu said that this area is quite close to the local market, so visitors can go down to buy more food or necessary items for the trip. In addition, visitors coming to camp should be careful not to litter or light campfires indiscriminately, and must clean up all the trash before leaving to preserve the environment and surrounding landscape. “This destination is actually an expired quarry, with no one watching over it. Therefore, visitors coming here must be very careful, pay attention, especially when exploring and taking pictures near the lakes and surrounding cliffs to ensure safety and avoid incidents,” Hieu emphasized. The 22-year-old also suggested that if coming to the quarry, visitors can combine visiting an interesting place not too far away, Suoi Mu.
