Many majors named "high quality" at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Ho Chi Minh City were changed to "international" or "English enhanced".
On January 30, Master Nguyen Thao Chi, Head of the Department of Communications and Corporate Relations, said that this year, the high-quality programs in the following majors: English, Chinese, German, International Relations, Japanese Studies, and Tourism and Travel Services Management will be renamed to international standard programs. The high-quality program in Journalism will be renamed to the Journalism - English Enhancement program.
Explaining, Ms. Chi said that this was done according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, in June 2023 - abolishing the high-quality program according to the Ministry's criteria. Instead, schools are autonomous in building and developing training programs.

In addition, the school maintains 5 stable admission methods, including: direct admission, priority direct admission (1-5% of the target); priority admission according to regulations of Ho Chi Minh City National University (15-20%); priority admission according to school regulations (1-5%); considering the capacity assessment test scores of Ho Chi Minh City National University (35-50%); considering the high school graduation exam scores (40-55%).
The total expected enrollment target for 2024 of Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities is nearly 3,700 students, an increase of 100 compared to last year.

In 2023, the benchmark score according to the high school graduation exam scores of Ho Chi Minh City University of Social Sciences and Humanities fluctuates from 21 to 28 points, the highest being Journalism (group C00).
