On the morning of March 28, the Women's Union of Lang Chanh town (Lang Chanh) coordinated with the town People's Committee and the 369 Export Bamboo and Rattan Production Facility to organize a training course on bamboo and rattan weaving for more than 100 female members in the town.
Representatives of the Town People's Committee, Women's Union and 369 Export Bamboo and Rattan Production Facility signed a cooperation agreement.
Students are members, women who do not have stable jobs, have the need to learn a trade, work to increase income.
Students learn theory
During the training, the women were introduced by representatives of the 369 Export Bamboo and Rattan Production Facility to the scale of operations and the potential for career development of the facility; product weaving techniques, such as baskets, shelves, table mats, trays, storage baskets, etc. Depending on each order, the facility will transfer techniques to the students; the process of producing finished products; and coordinate the supply of raw materials and consumption of products for students after the training. When participating in the training, the students are supported with food expenses, equipment, such as specialized knives, sewing needles and materials for practice.

After training, students receive raw materials to work with and the facility guarantees 100% of the products. The average income of students maintaining the bamboo and rattan weaving profession is expected to reach 4.5 to 5 million VND/month. This is a favorable condition to help members and women in rural mountainous areas with many difficulties have additional jobs, increase income to cover their living expenses and the efforts of the Association and local authorities to introduce, propagate and develop the profession, exploiting the potential advantages of the locality.
