Also attending the workshop were representatives of the Government Office, a number of units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Departments of Culture and Information of provinces and centrally-run cities; Vietnam Advertising Association and its member associations, Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry; Hanoi Advertising Association; domestic and international enterprises and organizations.
Opinions at the Workshop focused on the need to stipulate more clearly in the provisions of the Law to specify the State's policies to encourage the development of advertising activities, creating favorable conditions for businesses; amending and supplementing the procedures for notifying advertising products on banners and specialized advertising screens to have appropriate state management solutions; methods of developing and implementing outdoor advertising planning; content and conditions for advertising of special goods and services; advertising activities of influential advertising product carriers; regulations to ensure coordination between relevant agencies in state management of advertising activities.

Delegates give comments on the Draft Law
Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture Ninh Thi Thu Huong respectfully thanked the delegates for their active participation in researching and contributing ideas to the Draft Law so that the Workshop could achieve its objectives and requirements; at the same time, she synthesized and oriented the reception of ideas.
After the Workshop in Ninh Binh, on April 26, the Workshop will be held in Ho Chi Minh City to collect comments from representatives of domestic and international enterprises and organizations in the Southern region. The Standing Editorial Board will seriously synthesize all comments, report to the Drafting Board, then meet with the Editorial Board to directly edit the contents of the Draft Law to ensure consistency, feasibility, and comprehensive adjustment of the shortcomings raised in current advertising activities.
The revised Law on Advertising will be submitted to the Government in June 2024; comments will be sought at the 8th session (October 2024) and approved at the 9th session (May 2025) of the 13th National Assembly./.
