The cold air mass continues to move south.

The Hydrometeorological Forecasting Agency forecasts that from noon and afternoon on April 12, this cold air mass will affect the Northeast region, then affect the Northwest, North Central and North Central regions. Inland, the wind will change to Northeast level 3, coastal areas level 4-5, with gusts above level 6 in some places.

From the night of April 12, the weather in the North and North Central regions will turn cold, with some mountainous areas in the North experiencing cold weather; on the night of April 13-14, it will be cold at night and in the morning. The lowest temperature during this cold spell in the North will generally be 16-19 degrees Celsius, with some places in the highlands below 13 degrees Celsius; in the North Central region, it will generally be 17-20 degrees Celsius.

Due to the influence of cold air, from April 12, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms in the Northeast, the rain will gradually decrease at night; during the day and night of April 12, in the Northwest region of the North and Thanh Hoa to Quang Binh, there will be moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain.

In addition, in the evening and night of April 12, in the area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with heavy rain in some places.

During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind; warning of the risk of localized heavy rain with high intensity (>80mm/6h).

At sea, from the afternoon of April 12, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the wind will gradually change to the northeast, increasing to level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9, rough seas, waves 2-3m high; from the evening and night of April 12, in the northern sea area of ​​the North East Sea, the wind will gradually change to the northeast, increasing to level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, waves 2-3m high. From the night of April 12, in the area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai, the wind will gradually increase to level 5, sometimes increasing to level 6, gusting to level 7-8, rough seas, waves 1.5-2.5m high.
