Ensuring stable power supply, improving power quality

The plan aims to ensure stable power supply, improve power quality and reliability, contribute to environmental protection and socio-economic development of the capital; reduce peak load capacity of Hanoi's power system; raise awareness of electricity customers in managing electricity demand and using electricity economically and effectively, especially during peak hours.

Specifically, strive to reduce the peak load capacity of the City's power system by about 100MW; strive to mobilize and educate 100% of key energy customers and large electricity customers in Hanoi to raise awareness of the benefits and necessity of electricity demand management, and voluntarily register to participate in electricity load adjustment programs; strive to install and replace remote electronic meters for 100% of electricity customers in the City.

Implement the integration of national programs on energy saving and efficiency. To achieve the set targets, the City People's Committee clearly stated the tasks and solutions for propaganda, training to improve capacity and awareness; science and technology; policy mechanisms and international cooperation.

The Department of Industry and Trade is assigned to be the presiding agency, coordinating with relevant departments, branches and units to implement the Plan; coordinating with the People's Committees of districts, towns and Hanoi Electricity Corporation to organize a conference to launch the peak summer campaign on energy saving and efficiency in 2024, thereby strengthening propaganda and raising awareness of the community, electricity units and electricity customers about the content and benefits of the National Program on electricity demand management, the Electricity load adjustment program; integrating the program to organize training on the National Program on electricity demand management for key energy customers and large electricity customers in the City.
