Not only paying attention to implementing the State's policies and regulations, enterprises in the province also focus on improving working conditions, protecting the health of workers, reducing work-related accidents and occupational diseases, helping workers feel secure in sticking with the business for a long time.

With more than 500 employees working in 12 production lines, 8 departments such as: cutting, ironing, checking goods, electromechanical, technical, kitchen..., Van Phu Garment Joint Stock Company (Nho Quan) identifies occupational safety and hygiene as one of the key tasks of production and business activities.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Tuan, Director of the Company said: As a business operating in the garment industry, the production and business activities of the unit always have specific characteristics. That is: workers often work in an environment with many toxic agents affecting health such as: fabric dust, noise, the risk of fire and explosion is always latent because the factory contains many flammable materials and goods. Determining the importance of occupational safety and hygiene, for many years the Company has strictly implemented regulations on occupational safety and hygiene.

Along with providing facilities and improving working conditions for workers such as: installing ventilation systems, dust extraction systems, noise reduction, periodic maintenance of machinery, etc., the Company also focuses on training fire prevention and fighting skills for workers through establishing and maintaining a fire prevention and fighting team, and training on occupational safety and hygiene for cleaners.

Emulation movements launched by the Company's Trade Union such as "Good workers, creative workers", "Green-clean-beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene"... have received positive responses from employees, contributing to promoting production and business activities at the Company.

The Company's products are currently exported to EU countries, the US, Asia... In 2023, the Company exported 4 million products, with revenue reaching nearly 200 billion VND. In the first quarter of 2024, 240,000 - 260,000 products were exported; workers' income reached 8.5-9 million VND/person/month.

Along with actively improving working conditions and creating a safe working environment for employees, the Company also fully complies with regulations on social insurance and health insurance policies, ensuring the rights of employees. On average, the Company pays nearly 600 million VND in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance fees each month. Payment regimes when employees are sick or on maternity leave are all implemented promptly and fully.

As a company specializing in manufacturing insoles for domestic shoe brands, Dung Thinh Industrial Company Limited (Khanh Phu Industrial Park, Yen Khanh) has attracted more than 200 workers. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen, Head of the Company's Administration and Human Resources Department, said: Having been operating in Ninh Binh province for 6 years, the Company has always strictly complied with the provisions of the law on implementing policies and regimes, ensuring the rights of employees.

On average, the Company pays more than 300 million VND in social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance for employees every month. The Company always promptly and promptly carries out procedures for paying sick leave and maternity benefits to employees; implements many preferential policies for female employees who are pregnant or raising young children; visits and gives gifts when employees give birth, are unfortunately sick or have an accident; and pays employees for hazardous conditions at a rate of 12% of the total basic salary...

The Company fully pays salary, bonus, and meal allowances. On average, the Company pays its employees 8.2 million VND/person/month (2023).

In addition to implementing good policies and regimes for employees, the Company also focuses on ensuring occupational safety and hygiene for workers. The Company has improved machinery and production lines, and innovated some production technologies to improve product quality and increase labor productivity.

The company has paid attention to improving the working environment to ensure the health and safety of workers. Workers at the company are fully equipped with protective gear such as masks and gloves; machinery is regularly inspected, safety risks are overcome; advanced and modern equipment is applied to reduce dust and noise, ensuring environmental hygiene and health for workers...

The province currently has more than 6,200 operating enterprises with 192,000 registered employees. The production and business situation of enterprises in the first quarter of 2024 is gradually recovering, gradually stabilizing and achieving a slight growth compared to the same period.

This is a good signal showing that businesses have the conditions to maintain and carry out well activities to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers through many practical, specific activities suitable to the characteristics of the business.

On the occasion of the Month of Action for Occupational Safety and Hygiene this year, all levels and sectors in the province are continuing to promote propaganda, dissemination and strict implementation of legal regulations on occupational safety and hygiene with many diverse forms and methods.

Thereby further raising awareness and responsibility of employers and workers in implementing measures to improve working conditions, protect workers' health, reduce work-related accidents and occupational diseases.
