On January 24, the Provincial People's Committee held a regular meeting for January 2025 to evaluate the results of the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in the month; deploy directions and tasks for the following month. Comrade Pham Duc An, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, chaired the meeting.
Following the direction and administration of the Government, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Council, in January 2025, the whole province focused on concretizing the resolutions of the Government, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Council with specific action plans and programs for direction and administration. At the same time, immediately deploying socio-economic development tasks and the state budget estimate for 2025, economic growth scenarios with a proactive and drastic spirit right from the first days and months of the year. Since then, socio-economic development indicators have achieved many important results.
Specifically, the service - tourism industry continues to play an important role in the economy. Compared to the same period in 2024, total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue increased by 8.2%, the province welcomed 1.25 million visitors, up 18%, of which international visitors reached 390,000; the export turnover of enterprises reached 282 million USD, up 3.7%, total revenue from freight, passenger, loading and unloading and transportation support services increased by 25.9%.
The processing and manufacturing industry continued to be the main growth driver in the industrial production sector, with a growth index of 4.42%; the agriculture, forestry, fishery and new rural areas also achieved many important results in the first month of the year. Total state budget revenue in January reached VND4,464 billion, of which revenue from import-export activities reached VND1,500 billion, domestic revenue reached VND2,964 billion.
Social issues were also well and harmoniously resolved; the whole province focused on directing and promptly implementing preparations and services for the Lunar New Year, with the goal of ensuring that people celebrate the traditional New Year joyfully, healthily, safely and economically. The province presented 213,538 gifts to meritorious people, disadvantaged people, families in difficult circumstances, and workers of units with a total amount of more than 120 billion VND.
Other tasks such as state management of planning, land, natural resources and environment, and comprehensive digital transformation are promoted; inspection work, handling of complaints and denunciations are focused on directing and resolving...
Concluding the meeting, comrade Pham Duc An, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, highly appreciated the efforts of units and localities in implementing and deploying tasks and plans right from the first day and month of the new year 2025.
The immediate task is to effectively, practically and systematically implement the work of caring for people and tourists during the Lunar New Year, ensuring joy, health, safety and savings; the work of preventing and combating crimes, ensuring traffic order and safety, food safety and fire prevention and fighting is seriously implemented according to the directions of the Central and the province; strictly direct the implementation of regulations on the management and use of fireworks and explosives; ensure that market goods during the Tet holiday are associated with the prevention of smuggling, trade fraud, counterfeit goods, fake goods and poor quality goods so that people can enjoy Tet - welcome Spring happily and safely, without any unusual situations arising.
Organize well the activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding, combined with the activities to celebrate Spring and Tet, creating a joyful, excited, confident and proud atmosphere among cadres, party members and people. Agencies, units and localities have specific plans, arrange cadres and employees to be on duty during Tet, promptly handle and effectively resolve all arising tasks and situations; strictly implement the information and reporting regime during the holidays.
At the same time, focus on seriously and effectively implementing action programs, socio-economic development scenarios, growth and state budget estimates for 2025. Strive for a GRDP growth rate of 9.17% in the first quarter of 2025; state budget revenue of VND 12,995 billion; total tourists estimated at 5.5 million arrivals... It is necessary to urgently complete investment preparation work; continue to speed up investment preparation progress for projects, focus on thoroughly removing difficulties and obstacles so that projects ensure progress. Urgently develop monthly and quarterly disbursement plans for each project.
Continue to complete the review and reorganization of the apparatus to ensure streamlining and effective and efficient operations according to Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the Party Central Committee, and announce decisions related to the reorganization of the apparatus according to plan.
