Ensuring power supply for important events and festivals in the province

Currently, in Quang Tri province, the hot weather has been prolonged, so the demand for electricity has increased. In addition to meeting the power supply for production, business and people's daily life, Quang Tri Power Company (PC Quang Tri) has always proactively developed plans to provide timely and safe electricity to serve important events and festivals taking place in the province.

Especially in July 2024, in Quang Tri province, many important festivals and events are taking place such as the Festival for Peace and a series of activities in response to the festival; Conference to announce the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; Groundbreaking of the Quang Tri Airport project; Cultural-Culinary Festival: "Taste of the sunny flower land"; Political art program "Parallel 17 - Aspiration for peace" at the flagpole area on the North bank of the Hien Luong-Ben Hai Special National Monument...

In order for important festivals and events to take place continuously and successfully, PC Quang Tri has proactively developed plans and power supply solutions for each specific event and festival. Conducted an assessment of the current status and developed a technical power supply plan at the event venues. In particular, the venue for the special art program to open the Festival for Peace at the flagpole north of Hien Luong bridge, the power source is from the Hien Luong relic transformer station with a capacity of 250kVA- 22/0.4kV, total circuit breaker 400A, the low voltage power line supplying power to the flagpole's electrical cabinet uses a 3-phase underground cable.

The 22kV power source supplying power to the Hien Luong relic transformer station has 2 incoming power sources: output line 478VLI, 474 main line Cua Tung, currently receiving power from output line 474 main line Cua Tung. Using the 250kVA generator of PC Quang Tri to connect to the reversing switch to provide main power during the program at the northern flagpole of Hien Luong bridge. Using the low-voltage grid power source after the Hien Luong relic transformer station to provide backup power for the festival at the northern flagpole of Hien Luong bridge through a separately installed low-voltage cabinet and 400m of twisted cable with accessories.

In particular, key tasks were assigned to member units such as Dong Ha Electricity, Vinh Linh Electricity and Gio Linh Electricity to implement the electricity supply. Accordingly, Gio Linh Electricity coordinated with related units to complete the procedures for installing meters and electricity purchase contracts.

Receive all materials, organize construction, installation, and connection of generators (1 500kVA and 1 250kVA). Complete construction of transformer stations and low-voltage lines, complete installation of 500kVA, 250kVA generators and electrical cabinets. Deploy wire pulling and retrieval to serve the festival to ensure safety for people and equipment. Arrange personnel to connect and monitor backup generators, and ensure power supply in the area where the program takes place.

During the festival, regularly check and measure the load at the electrical cabinets, generators and transformer stations. Check the total load and the load on the line, and have a timely solution when the risk of increased load affects the safe operation of the generator and transformer. Dong Ha Power Company transports the MF 250kVA, 2 distribution cabinets for the generator to the generator location and transports them to Dong Ha Power Company's warehouse after the festival ends.

Coordinate with Quang Tri Power Service Enterprise during the transportation of the 500kVA generator. Arrange personnel to coordinate with Gio Linh Power Company to connect and operate the backup generator, and ensure power supply in the area where the Cultural-Culinary Festival "Taste of the Sunny Flower Land" takes place.

Vinh Linh Power Director Phan Thanh Vinh said that, contributing to the success and creating a good impression of the opening night of the Festival for Peace, the unit had previously carried out specific and thoughtful tasks such as organizing the clearing and handling of remaining problems after periodic inspections of power lines in the management area, especially important lines such as the 478E82 outbound line and the 474 outbound line of Cua Tung main line. Repairing low-voltage lines and handling contact with substations loading to Hien Luong relic.

Install and replace switching devices such as: DPT 478-8/35 Ho Xa 1. Strengthen the inspection of load transformer stations, measure thermal cameras at 22kV line joints, load transformer stations with large loads of 478E82, 482E82 feeders. Handle and replace the 478E82 feeder locations, isolate the 22kV line from location 35 to location 60 of 478VLI feeder crossing an area with many birds at high risk of incidents (main power supply line for the festival) to ensure maximum limitation of incidents caused by animals.

Pull an additional 400m of ABC 4x95 twisted cable from Hien Luong relic transformer station to supply electricity to the central area of ​​the festival to ensure safety and not be affected by other electricity users. Arrange a 250kV generator to provide main electricity during the festival.

Arrange personnel to be on duty to supply electricity during the festival at the Northern flagpole and the switching equipment in the festival power supply area. Change the priority method of supplying electricity at Hien Luong relic transformer station from receiving electricity from the 474 main line of Cua Tung to receiving electricity at the 478E82 line and ensure that the power source serving the festival has 2 sources.

“After deploying continuous and safe power supply for the opening night of the Festival for Peace, the unit has drawn some experience, which is to proactively work with the event organizer to accurately grasp the capacity used and test the entire load before the event takes place.

Arrange human resources to strengthen the inspection of the power grid area where the main power supply to the event area is and handle existing problems (if any). Arrange enough human resources, materials, tools, and equipment to serve the fastest troubleshooting if an incident occurs.
