Facilities are ready
The 2024 high school graduation exam will be held from June 26-29. Dak Lak will organize an examination council with 33 official examination sites and 37 backup examination sites in 15 districts, towns and cities. The total number of candidates registered for the exam is 20,934, of which 18,714 are high school candidates; 1,291 are continuing education candidates; 929 are independent candidates; 4,997 are ethnic minority candidates, accounting for nearly a quarter of the total number of candidates.
The examination council has arranged 893 official examination rooms; 66 reserve examination rooms; 48 waiting rooms. At the same time, 3,024 examination invigilators, supervisors and service staff were mobilized at the examination sites. Of which, 240 were leaders and secretaries of examination sites; 1,786 were invigilators; 48 were waiting room staff; 309 were supervisors; 429 were security, medical and service staff; 105 were reserve staff and 107 were examination inspectors.
Up to now, the units have fully prepared facilities, equipment, and finances to serve the exam well. The Dak Lak Provincial Examination Steering Committee has organized inspections at all exam locations, and strictly implemented inspection and examination work at all stages to ensure the exam takes place safely and seriously.
To ensure security and safety for the exam, Dak Lak Provincial Police have proactively developed a plan and assigned specific tasks to police units and localities. At the same time, they have coordinated with the Department of Education and Training of Dak Lak Province and relevant agencies to develop a plan to ensure security conditions for the exam, such as: grasping the situation, proactively detecting and strictly handling negative manifestations and behaviors such as: taking exams for others, taking exams for hire, cheating in exams, and violating exam regulations at exam sites.
Organize to review and grasp the situation in cyberspace, promptly detect, prevent and handle subjects that produce, trade, exchange and use high-tech devices on the internet for the purpose of cheating in exams. Strengthen the inspection of security and information safety in the areas where exam papers are printed, copied and the exam marking room to ensure that there is no equipment capable of receiving, transmitting signals or transmitting information; strictly control people and objects in the areas where exam papers are printed, copied and the exam marking area.
Support for candidates
To help ensure the exam takes place safely and smoothly, the "Supporting the exam season" program in Dak Lak was implemented from April to the end of August 2024. Before the exam, units focused on promoting the "Supporting the exam season" program to all candidates across the province through many forms.
In particular, focus on communication on digital platforms with the hashtag #tiepsucmuathi #tiepsucmuathidaklak. At the same time, deploy the "Digital Volunteer - Supporting the Exam Season" team with the tasks of synthesizing support needs through the official fanpage of the program, the Provincial Youth Union and each unit; answer questions related to exam information for candidates.
In addition, Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union also implemented activities such as “Tips for high exam scores”, organized counseling programs, career orientation, and admission counseling for students at high schools. Youth Union officials proactively screened students with difficult circumstances; established a youth volunteer team to carry out activities of the exam support program.
During the exam, districts, towns, city unions and affiliated unions will coordinate with relevant units to grasp information about the situation of candidates in the locality, develop proactive plans to handle any unusual incidents; deploy free pick-up and drop-off activities for candidates in especially difficult circumstances; coordinate with relevant agencies to promptly prevent negative phenomena affecting candidates; organize volunteer teams to guide and direct traffic to ensure traffic safety at high-traffic high school graduation exam sites in 2024...
Ms. H' Giang Nie - Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Youth Union shared: the program "Supporting exam season" is organized to guide, support, and help candidates and their families during the high school graduation exam, contributing to ensuring the exam takes place safely and smoothly. Thereby creating an environment for youth union members and students to promote the spirit of volunteerism, mutual love, and sense of responsibility towards the community.
Fully implement priority for candidates
Through screening, the whole province has 524 candidates exempted from the exams in the 2024 high school graduation exam. Specifically, there are 2 candidates exempted from all graduation exams, including Ngo Van Truong Phuc and Doan Minh Nhat (students of Nguyen Du High School for the Gifted), both of whom are on the National Team competing in the 2024 International Olympics.
There are 522 candidates exempted from the foreign language exam in the graduation exam (an increase of 215 candidates compared to 2023). These students already have foreign language certificates: English (IELTS), Chinese (HSK level 3), French (DELF B1).
According to statistics, the number of candidates exempted from the foreign language exam is mainly in schools in the city and district centers, including: Nguyen Du High School for the Gifted (175 candidates); Victory Primary, Secondary and High School (75 candidates); Buon Ma Thuot High School (40 candidates); Le Quy Don High School (36 candidates); Chu Van An High School (24 candidates); Ngo Gia Tu High School (22 candidates) ...
Mr. Pham Dang Khoa - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Director of the Department of Education and Training, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee for the 2024 Dak Lak High School Graduation Exam said: In order to prepare well for the exam, all work before, during and after the exam must be coordinated smoothly, absolutely not negligent or subjective at any stage; increase awareness of the importance of the exam, prepare carefully to organize it successfully according to the motto "4 rights", "3 no's" which are: correct regulations and exam instructions; correct and sufficient procedures; correct assigned positions and responsibilities; at the right time, promptly handle unusual situations. "3 no's" are: no negligent subjectivity; no arbitrarily handling unusual situations; no stress, excessive pressure; all serve the best for the exam.
