On September 28, Phu Tho Golf Association held its 3rd Congress for the 2024 - 2029 term. Attending the congress were leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, representatives of the Vietnam Golf Association and all members.
Overview of the congress
Phu Tho Golf Association (formerly Phu Tho Golf Club) was established in 2012. When it was first established, the association had 44 members. Of which, 27 members were Phu Tho people, 17 members were foreigners. To date, the association has grown to 56 members. Of which, 39 members are Phu Tho businessmen and 17 members are foreign businessmen. The majority of members are enthusiastic, active and highly responsible businessmen who contribute to the development of the Golf movement in the province.
In professional activities, the association coordinated to organize the Hung Vuong Cup Golf Tournament at Tam Dao Golf Course with nearly 200 golfers participating, accompanied Korean enterprises to organize an exchange tournament to support the poverty reduction fund at Luong Son Golf Course, Hoa Binh, and sent members to participate in open golf tournaments in Vinh Phuc, Khanh Hoa, Hanoi provinces and ministries and branches.

In recent years, the Association has also allocated a part of its operating budget to support social security activities such as: Supporting the Fund for the Poor of Phu Tho province with 100 million VND, coordinating with the Trade Union of PangRim Neotex Company Limited to organize a prize to support the poor with 500 million VND.
In the new term 2024-2029, the Association strives to maintain and develop the number of members with priority given to developing young members and members from Phu Tho. Improve the quality of expertise to be quite good compared to the whole country, with members in the top ranks of the Vietnam Golf Association. The direction is to make the Hung Vuong Phu Tho Golf Cup an annual tradition held on the occasion of the Hung King's death anniversary, contributing to promoting the sports movement, promoting the image of the homeland's tourism to domestic and international friends.
The Congress elected the 3rd Executive Committee of Phu Tho Golf Association for the 2024-2029 term with 11 members. The Congress honored Mr. Mai Thanh Chung as Chairman of Phu Tho Golf Association for the 2024-2029 term.
