From the 2024-2025 school year, Dong A University will officially train in Medicine and Rehabilitation Engineering, in addition to the dominant majors such as Nursing, Midwifery, Pharmacy, and Nutrition.
Director of the Department of Health of Da Nang City, Tran Thanh Thuy, commented that the Ministry of Education and Training's permission for Dong A University to continue opening training programs for General Practitioners and Bachelors of Rehabilitation has very practical significance.
Thereby, meeting the human resource requirements in medical examination and treatment in particular and health care in Da Nang city and the Central and Central Highlands regions in general.
Mr. Luong Minh Sam - Chairman of the Board of Dong A University said that along with perfecting the combined school-institute training model, Dong A University also promotes comprehensive cooperation with Kameda Social Medical Group (Japan) to implement the project of an international multidisciplinary clinic with Japanese standards in Da Nang in the near future.
At the same time, foreign partners, including universities and hospitals from Japan, Korea, etc., will also send medical experts to teach at Dong A University. Medical students will also have the opportunity to practice at advanced medical facilities in neighboring countries.
In addition, the School is also continuing to prepare all necessary conditions to open other training majors in the Health Sciences sector, such as Dentistry, Bachelor of Medical Technology, Public Health or Traditional Medicine... in the coming years.
At the program, Dong A University, Hospital 199 - Ministry of Public Security (Da Nang) and Quang Nam Northern Mountainous Region General Hospital signed a cooperation agreement on medical training.
Medical students of Dong A University will practice in specialized departments under the guidance and regular evaluation of doctors at the practice facility according to a specific roadmap.
