Da Nang supports consulting on smart factory development

In recent years, Da Nang has continuously promoted digital economic development programs, especially piloting smart factory models. The city has also issued many resolutions and projects to support businesses in digital transformation and applying new technologies, in order to improve competitiveness and participate deeply in the global supply chain.

In 2023, the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City coordinated with Samsung Vietnam to provide consulting support and improve smart factory models for two enterprises, Trung Nam Electronics Joint Stock Company and Tan Long Packaging Company.

The results achieved are very encouraging, as these enterprises have significantly improved production efficiency and competitiveness.

Accordingly, in 2024, the program will continue to support three more businesses, including: Danang Rubber Joint Stock Company, Minh Thinh Loi Company and Trung Khoa Printing Company.

2024 will support 3 businesses

The smart factory development project aims to improve competitiveness in the manufacturing sector for businesses and build production management software.

The project helps businesses reach level 3 on the smart factory scale. Through this, businesses can detect all waste at the production site; at the same time, ensure to provide full information so that the unit has a more comprehensive view. The project implementation plan is divided into 3 areas: printing/packaging; processing/shaping and assembling finished products.

"This program will not only help businesses optimize their operations but also open up many new development opportunities for the city's digital economy. The Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang is committed to accompanying the program, creating sustainable values ​​for businesses and contributing to the development of the digital economy in the city" - Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City Nguyen Van Tru said.

Promoting digital transformation and building smart factories is an important strategic task for Da Nang city to continue implementing the goals set out in Resolution No. 52-NQ/TW of the Politburo on proactively participating in the fourth industrial revolution, as well as the National Digital Transformation Program approved by the Prime Minister.

These efforts are part of the strategy to build Da Nang into a modern, sustainably developed industrial center, with a vision to 2045.
