Boost from voting for typical rural industrial products

Comrade Nguyen Manh Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade awarded certificates of typical rural industrial products of Tuyen Quang province in 2024 to units.

In recent years, the Department of Industry and Trade has advised the Provincial People's Committee to issue a plan to organize the selection of typical IT products, selecting potential products that meet the conditions to register for regional and national selection. Up to now, the province has had 51 products recognized as typical IT products. Many products after being recognized have increasingly affirmed their names in the market.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, said that the results achieved after many years of organizing the vote for typical ITNT products of the province are not only shown through numbers but also proven through the quality and spread of the program. In each voting period, the program has attracted active participation from production establishments. Notably, the number of products registered to participate in the next voting period has increased compared to the previous voting period. The participating products are high-quality products, highly professional, with investment in packaging, and typical of each district.

Along with honoring typical IT products, the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to support investment establishments, promote trade, apply technical and technological advances in production to improve productivity, quality and ensure food hygiene and safety from the industrial promotion fund. From there, businesses and production establishments have the opportunity to participate in conferences, exhibitions in and outside the province, trade connection events and create sales channels on e-commerce platforms...

Many people and tourists choose to buy typical rural industrial products at the fair.

At the 2024 provincial-level typical rural industrial product voting, there were 36 product/product sets of 23 enterprises, cooperatives, and business households in the province registered to participate in the voting. Of which, the group of agricultural, forestry, aquatic and food processing products had 35 profiles; the other product group had 01 profile. Through the voting, the Voting Council and the Jury scored each product based on the evaluation criteria and unanimously selected 21 products/product sets of 18 rural industrial establishments to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for recognition. At the recent opening ceremony of the OCOP Fair, the Provincial Voting Council for Typical Rural Industrial Products awarded Certificates and honored 21 typical rural industrial products/product sets of the province in 2024.

As one of 18 entities with products recognized as typical agricultural products of the province in 2024, Mr. Nguyen Cong Su, Director of Su Anh Agricultural Production Service Cooperative, My Lam Ward (Tuyen Quang City) happily shared: “The voting results are to honor and recognize the achievements and efforts of the establishments in the process of production, product development, and brand building. This is the third time that the cooperative's products have been recognized as typical agricultural products of the province. After being recognized, the cooperative's products have been enhanced in terms of quality and brand; the products are also easier to access the market, supermarket channels and customers than before. Since then, sales have increased significantly".

Tuyen Quang province has a variety of typical rural industrial products.

Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sang, Director of Sang Nhung Safe Food Production and Processing Cooperative, excitedly said: “In this provincial-level typical food safety product voting period, the Cooperative has the product Sang Nhung herbal pork sausage and the product set: Pork fat patties, Pork skin ham, Sang Nhung herbal pork ham recognized as typical food safety products at the provincial level. This is a good condition for the Cooperative's products to be known by many customers, a driving force for our Cooperative to innovate production methods, improve technology, machinery and equipment, further improve quality and design to continue to maintain the title and hope to be recognized at a higher voting level. At the same time, we will continue to research and develop a number of new products to meet the needs and tastes of consumers".

The selection of typical IT products is meant to honor products with high quality, high usage value, and potential for production development and market expansion. The program also motivates IT establishments to promote their competitive advantages in order to create products with productivity, quality, and designs that meet the increasing demands of domestic and export consumers, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province. This is also a "passport" that opens up opportunities for small and medium enterprises, cooperatives, production and business households to bring their products further into the market.
