Implementing Plan No. 20/KH - SVHTTDL dated February 20, 2025 on organizing cultural, sports and tourism activities to serve the Hung Kings' death anniversary and the Cultural - Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land in the year of At Ty 2025, with the consensus of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Tho, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vinh Phuc province, Hung Vuong Museum coordinated with Vinh Phuc Provincial Museum - Library to advise on organizing the thematic exhibition "Hung Vuong Culture in the flow of Red River Civilization" at Hung Vuong Museum.
With the close coordination and the spirit of urgency and positivity of the two Museums, the preparation for the thematic exhibition was completed from the stage of surveying the location, designing the content layout, preparing artifacts and documents. The exhibition introduces to the public about 300 artifacts and images of archaeological vestiges of the Hung King era's cultural stages in Phu Tho province, typically the intangible cultural heritage "Hung King worship" and "Phu Tho Xoan singing". Especially the exhibition introduces the collection of extremely rare and unique artifacts of the Dong Dau culture discovered in Yen Lac district, Vinh Phuc province such as: production tools (axes, grinding tables), household utensils (rings, beads...) and weapons (spear, javelin, arrows...). Dong Dau culture belongs to the Pre-Hung King period, is the intermediate stage of transition from Phung Nguyen culture to Go Mun culture, creating a continuous chain of development, this is an important premise, contributing to the formation of Van Lang state - the first state of the Red River civilization.
Dong Dau culture followed Phung Nguyen culture (2,000 - 1,500 BC)
The exhibition “Hung King Culture in the Flow of Red River Civilization” is an extremely meaningful joint activity between the Hung King Museum and the Vinh Phuc Provincial Museum - Library to educate the traditional morality of “When drinking water, remember its source”, to show respect and deep gratitude to the merits of the Hung Kings; to honor the unique and typical cultural values of the Hung King era in the two provinces of Phu Tho and Vinh Phuc.
The exhibition is also a message to raise awareness and responsibility of the people in the work of preserving and promoting the value of traditional cultural heritage in community life. At the same time, it creates opportunities for regional heritage exchanges and enhances professional development for officers and employees of the two museums in preserving and promoting the value of Vietnamese cultural heritage in the period of integration and development.
The thematic exhibition "Hung King Culture in the Flow of Red River Civilization" is expected to open to serve visitors on the occasion of Hung King's Death Anniversary - Hung Temple Festival and Culture - Tourism Week from March 31, 2025 to April 20, 2025 at Hung King Museum (Tran Phu Street, Gia Cam Ward, Viet Tri City, Phu Tho Province).
