(QBĐT) - On the morning of March 31, the Provincial People's Committee held a regular meeting to assess the socio-economic situation in March and the first quarter of 2025. In the first quarter of 2025, the Provincial People's Committee directed the implementation of tasks after the Lunar New Year holiday, not to delay and affect production, business and socio-economic activities. The Provincial People's Committee also urgently and resolutely organized conferences on state budget collection, land fund development, reviewed investment projects, and organized meetings with many large and potential investors on investment opportunities in the province. Focusing on strongly promoting production and business activities, creating jobs and livelihoods for people, ensuring comprehensive and sustainable social security.

Thanks to that, the socio-economic situation in March and the first quarter of 2025 of the province achieved remarkable results. The estimated GRDP increased by 7.84% over the same period last year, the budget revenue increased quite well, the winter-spring crop production basically followed the plan, forestry production was promoted; industry developed stably; cultural and tourism activities took place vibrantly; social security and people's lives were concerned and improved; security and order were ensured.

At the meeting, delegates focused on discussing and proposing solutions to effectively implement key tasks in the second quarter as well as the whole year of 2025, focusing on analyzing in depth the difficulties and shortcomings in various fields to have specific solutions in directing, operating, and performing tasks, in the context of implementing the work of reorganizing the apparatus and merging administrative units at all levels.

Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Phong emphasized: With the strong direction of the Standing Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee in implementing the resolution of the Government, the Provincial People's Council on implementing the socio-economic development tasks in 2025, departments, branches and localities have proactively and drastically implemented the tasks. Notably, the proactive coordination and sense of responsibility of cadres, civil servants and public employees have many positive changes. Many policies and regimes have been amended and supplemented in a timely manner, many problems have been completely or partially resolved; the planning review work has been proactively implemented by branches and localities to serve the needs of calling for investors to Quang Binh. With the high determination of the entire political system, the implementation of the resolution on socio-economic development in the first quarter has achieved many positive results, with many targets reaching and exceeding the plan.

Regarding the implementation of tasks in the second quarter, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested departments, branches and localities to promptly commend cadres, civil servants and public employees who have made many changes in their sense of responsibility, service attitude and quality in advisory work. At the same time, leaders of departments, branches and localities regularly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of cadres and party members regarding the merger of communes, wards and provinces to promptly encourage and stabilize the ideological situation. Focus on reviewing and completing the plan to arrange commune-level administrative units according to the Central's orientation. Focus on stabilizing the operations of agencies and units after the arrangement to ensure continuity, effectiveness and efficiency.
