Web3 source code reverse engineering tool

Báo Thanh niênBáo Thanh niên09/03/2024

Revela enables reverse engineering of the bytecode of smart contracts on Aptos, which are mostly not open source, to return to the original source code. The tool contributes to promoting the development of stability, safety, adaptability, and innovation for Web3 Projects on the Aptos blockchain platform.

The development of the Revela tool is one of the projects that Verichains collaborated on with Aptos Labs to improve the auditing capabilities and enhance the security of Web3 projects using the Move programming language. Although it is considered a highly challenging project, Verichains still decided to build Revela because of the practical application of the tool.

This tool is expected to promote the development of more secure architectural platforms for blockchain projects.

Some practical applications of the Revela tool include: Enhancing stability and detecting malicious code in architecture; Better understanding of how smart contracts work; Supporting access to knowledge about building architecture; Promoting creativity.

“The world’s first decryption tool, Revela, developed by Verichains, is an innovation that aims to enhance the security of the Aptos ecosystem. The project enables the conversion of bytecode back to source code, promising unprecedented transparency and security. This is a leap forward for building more trustworthy smart contracts on the Aptos platform,” said Gerardo Di Giacomo, Head of Security at Aptos.

In addition to the Revela project, Verichains is actively researching to apply the same method to other programming languages with the aim of supporting the development community to ensure security, setting new safety standards for future Web3 projects to serve users.
