TPO - The leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs announced the decision of the City People's Committee approving the election results of the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Gio district, term XI, 2021 - 2026 for Mr. Vo Huu Thang, District Party Committee member, Head of the Urban Management Department of Can Gio district.

On May 23, at the People's Committee of Can Gio district, the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a ceremony to award decisions to officials.

At the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Thi Hong Tham announced the decision of the City People's Committee approving the election results of the Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Gio district, term XI, 2021 - 2026 for Mr. Vo Huu Thang, District Party Committee member, Head of the Urban Management Department of Can Gio district.

Previously, on the afternoon of May 9, the People's Council of Can Gio district held the 12th Session (special session) of the 11th term, 2021 - 2026 term to elect the Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee. As a result, Mr. Vo Huu Thang, member of the District Party Committee, Head of the Urban Management Department of Can Gio district was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee of the 11th term, 2021 - 2026 term.

Speaking to congratulate the new Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Gio district, Secretary of the Can Gio District Party Committee Nguyen Phuoc Hung hoped that in his new position, Mr. Vo Huu Thang would continue to promote his experience, capacity, and strengths, and together with the leadership of the District People's Committee, direct and successfully implement political tasks, develop the socio-economy, and ensure national defense and security in the locality.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Can Gio District People's Committee Vo Huu Thang thanked the leaders of the city and district for their trust and confidence, and said that he would continue to train, strive, and constantly learn to improve his political mettle, professional qualifications, and determination to unite with the leaders of the District People's Committee to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
