Police work with parents

On the afternoon of September 27, according to information from Vung Liem District Police (Vinh Long), the unit invited parents of students involved in the case of an 8th grade male student being "beaten up" by his classmates to come to work.

Accordingly, Vung Liem District Police received information reflecting that NHN (8/1 grade student, Trung Hieu Secondary School - Vung Liem District) was brutally "beaten up" by a group of friends in the same grade; at the same time, a clip of the fight appeared on social networks.

Immediately after receiving the information, Vung Liem District Police directed professional teams and Trung Hieu Commune Police to urgently verify and clarify the incident. According to initial verification, the incident occurred at noon on September 23, at Trung Hieu Secondary School. The cause stemmed from personal conflicts between students.

After verifying the incident, Vung Liem District Police had a meeting with all the parents and students involved, with the participation of the school's board of directors. Currently, the unit continues to coordinate with the education sector to propose to the authorities to take appropriate action according to regulations.

Ms. NTTN (NHN's grandmother) said that the family took her to the hospital for examination and treatment. Up to now, N.'s health condition is basically stable.

As Thanh Nien reported, in the past few days, a 3-minute clip has been circulating on Facebook , recording a group of 8th graders "ganging up" on a classmate with a helmet, broom, wooden chair... and stomping on his head multiple times. The entire incident was recorded by another student using a phone.

According to the clip, more than 4 students used helmets, brooms, wooden chairs... to beat a male student who was sitting huddled on a chair against the wall of the classroom. Being beaten repeatedly, this student could only hold his head and endure the beating while the other students cheered and encouraged him.

More notably, a student jumped up, used both feet to kick the male student straight in the head and repeatedly kicked his head, neck...; another student also used a wooden chair to throw at the male student...

After the clip appeared on social media, many people expressed outrage and condemned the brutal beating of their friend. At the same time, they requested that authorities promptly and strictly handle the above students and take measures to prevent school violence, which is on the rise.
