Ho Chi Minh City traffic police major takes baby having seizure to emergency room
Yesterday (December 8), at around 4:20 p.m., Major Thai was on duty directing traffic at the intersection of Mai Chi Tho - Luong Dinh Cua (An Phu Ward, Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City), when a father with a panicked face, carrying his young child who was having a seizure, ran to the traffic police for help and was taken to the emergency room.
Major Nguyen Minh Thai immediately reported to the duty station and used a special vehicle to transport the father and son to Children's Hospital 2 for timely emergency treatment. Major Thai then returned to his duty position.
"At that time, I saw the child having a seizure, which could be life-threatening, so without thinking much, I asked for advice and took the child to the hospital as quickly as possible...", Major Nguyen Minh Thai said.
The father was on the way to take his baby (about 7 months old) with a fever to Children's Hospital 2 for observation when the child had a seizure. Because the traffic was heavy and moving slowly, the father became anxious and asked the traffic police for help.
