“I take full responsibility. I created that group chat . My job was to make sure everything was coordinated,” Waltz told “The Ingraham Angle” on March25 .

When asked how the phone number of Jeffrey Goldberg, editor-in-chief of The Atlantic magazine, came to be on his phone, Mr. Waltz said he did not know.
“Have you ever had someone’s phone number show up as their name and then someone else’s number? Of course, I didn’t see the ‘loser’ (Goldberg) in the group chat. We’re trying to figure out whether Goldberg was infiltrated intentionally or if this happened by some other technical means… It’s a shame, but the White House will get to the bottom of this,” the US national security adviser affirmed.
However, on March 25, The Atlantic magazine continued to reject criticism from senior US officials surrounding the recently published article titled "The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me About War Plans."
“Efforts to discredit and discredit The Atlantic, our editors, and our reporting are playing out in a script from elected officials and other powerful figures who are hostile to journalists and the First Amendment rights of all Americans. We will continue to report the truth, fearlessly and independently, in the public interest,” said The Atlantic spokesperson Anna Bross.
