The People's Committee of Ba Dinh District (Hanoi) has just issued a decision to administratively fine the owner of the Nguyen Ninh traditional green rice cake production facility (No. 11 Hang Than Street) 40 million VND for 4 violations.
Specifically, the authorities determined that the food production process does not follow a one-way principle from input materials to final products.
Production areas, warehouses for food, raw materials, food additives, food processing aids, tools, packaging materials, containers... that come into direct contact with food may be infested with harmful insects and animals.
This facility also has violations such as storage areas and warehouses without or lacking adequate shelves, nameplates, regulations, procedures, and hygiene regimes; using people in direct contact with food without wearing full protective gear as prescribed.

Previously, as reported by Tuoi Tre Online , on the afternoon of January 2, the interdisciplinary food safety inspection team No. 1 of Hanoi City inspected food safety assurance work for Tet.
At the Nguyen Ninh traditional rice cake production facility (address 11 Hang Than, Ba Dinh district), through actual inspection, the inspection team discovered a series of food safety violations at this facility.
Accordingly, at the time of inspection, Nguyen Ninh green rice cake production facility had 5 production workers and 1 facility owner.
Upon inspection, the production area of the facility was used in the family kitchen, without separate zones, arranged in a messy manner and seriously degraded. The floor in the kitchen area was peeling, moldy, the drains were open, and there was garbage stagnation...
Inside, the inspection team also discovered clothes being hung to dry right in the production area. The processing and preparation tools used in production were dirty due to lack of regular cleaning.
In particular, the toilet is located right in the preparation and processing area. Insects and animal feces were also found in the production area.
Because the facility is cramped and has no storage, the sacks of dried rice ingredients are stacked right at the entrance to the kitchen, near the moldy wall area...
In addition, through checking legal documents, the facility has not yet presented health certificates and confirmation of food safety training for the facility owner and 5 employees.
The facility has also not been able to present documents proving the origin of all raw materials, food additives, packaging that directly contact food...
