Born with cerebral palsy, Nguyen Thuy Chi (25 years old, Lao Cai) grew up with a cramped body, with withered legs, and all activities depended on a wheelchair. But with the determination to prove her worth in life, Thuy Chi overcame everything to pass the university entrance exam, and then "build a common home" for the community of people with cerebral palsy.

Talking about the disease she has, Chi said that cerebral palsy has many forms, and Chi has had spastic cerebral palsy since birth. However, this girl only considers that disability as an inconvenience for herself and does not think she is at a disadvantage compared to others. Although her legs cannot move, Thuy Chi does not allow herself to just lie in one place, the 9X girl begins to find every way to move and experience.

Like her peers, Thuy Chi longed to learn and go to school, although the journey was not smooth. Chi was very intelligent, and her studies were well-received by her teachers and friends. The more she studied, the more Thuy Chi loved the moments of going to school and she realized that only studying could help her rise up and affirm her own value. In her small body, Thuy Chi always nurtured a strong will and desire, not wanting to live depending on the help or love of others.

Passing the entrance exam to the Academy of Journalism and Communication has helped the 9X girl become more confident about herself. “No one can save you better than rising up with your own strength. And no community can develop just by supporting money. You can be physically disabled but still have the will and the will to rise up”, thinking like that, Thuy Chi hatched the idea of ​​creating jobs for people in the same situation as her. In October 2022, Thuy Chi and her friend founded “Touching Green”, a shared home that creates job opportunities for people with disabilities in general and people with cerebral palsy in particular.

The unexpected appearance of her friend Luu Thi Hieu - opened up Thuy Chi's journeys throughout Hanoi to find sponsors and connect with people with disabilities, creating jobs for them. On the stage of Love Station, Thuy Chi also revealed that the products of the enterprise "Touching Green" are paintings and handicrafts made by people with disabilities themselves. These products not only create more jobs and income for people with disabilities but also are the common voice of the "green" community - the color representing cerebral palsy patients in particular and the hope of people with disabilities in general. Thuy Chi shared that up to now, "Touching Green" has had 10 members participating in the production of paintings, cards, knitting at home and sending them back to bring products to the market through direct sales and online sales through e-commerce platforms...

Thuy Chi's will to succeed makes the audience of "Love Station" extremely admire.

When asked about her future dreams, the 9X girl only hopes to have good health and continue writing the journey "Touching Green" to help more disabled people. The gift from Love Station will give Thuy Chi and her friends more strength on this meaningful journey.
