Gasoline prices hit new low with nearly 2,000 VND/liter decrease

From 3:00 p.m. this afternoon (April 10), under the direction of the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance, petroleum businesses have simultaneously adjusted to reduce retail prices of petroleum products.

Specifically, in this adjustment period, the prices of petroleum products have decreased sharply compared to the previous adjustment period.

RON 95 gasoline (common type on the market) decreased by 1,710 VND/liter, retail price down to 19,200 VND/liter.

E5 RON 92 gasoline decreased by 1,490 VND/liter, retail price is 18,880 VND/liter.

Diesel oil decreased by 1,230 VND/liter, retail price is 17,780 VND/liter.

In this management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance continued not to use the Petroleum Price Stabilization Fund.

In the most recent adjustment period (April 3), gasoline prices increased simultaneously.

Specifically: RON 95 gasoline increased by 490 VND/liter, to 20,910 VND/liter. E5 gasoline increased by 340 VND/liter, to 20,370 VND/liter. Diesel increased by 260 VND/liter, to 18,470 VND/liter.

Notably, from May 2, the mechanism for regulating gasoline prices will change. Accordingly, there will no longer be the current joint Finance - Industry and Trade group. Instead, the Ministry of Industry and Trade will directly announce the base price and selling price of gasoline products, based on input data and written management opinions of the Ministry of Finance.
