Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Bui Hoang Phuong considers the application of technology in personnel work a mandatory requirement and inevitable trend in the current context.
On the morning of October 29, the Department of Personnel Organization (Ministry of Information and Communications) organized a training session on the implementation of software for managing cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers under the Ministry of Information and Communications. Participants in the training session were leaders and personnel managers at agencies and units under the Ministry.
This is a software developed to serve digital transformation and technology application in personnel work. Through this software, personnel workers will be provided with many tools to manage information of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the digital environment.
The software also has many features to support managers such as statistics, salary increase warnings, reappointment warnings, retirement warnings or building report forms to serve work.
At the training session, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Bui Hoang Phuong emphasized the importance of applying technology in personnel work, considering this a mandatory requirement and inevitable trend in the current context.
Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong said that personnel work is a key task that leaders of units need to pay special attention to. Recently, the Ministry of Information and Communications has conducted many inspection and supervision teams and discovered many errors in personnel management. This shows that leaders of units do not pay due attention or are not thorough in personnel management.
To overcome these limitations, the Minister and leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications have requested the Department of Personnel Organization to develop personnel management software, although this is not a unit with expertise in technology. With the efforts of the Department of Personnel Organization, the software system has been basically completed to effectively support management work.
Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong emphasized that the success of the software system depends not only on the Department of Organization and Personnel but also on the proactive updating of information from units and each officer. Therefore, leaders and personnel officers at units need to regularly use and review the system to promptly detect and correct errors.
The deployment of technology in personnel management is a mandatory requirement from the Government and the Ministry of Home Affairs, applicable to all ministries, sectors and 63 provinces and cities nationwide. Applying technology will help simplify processes and reduce manual work, especially when processing large numbers of reports and data.
Deputy Minister Bui Hoang Phuong requested that units re-check personal records on the system to ensure accurate information and avoid unnecessary errors.
Leaders and personnel managers at units also need to pay more attention to applying technology and using software systems proficiently to improve management efficiency and avoid errors.
Although getting used to the new system may be difficult at first, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Bui Hoang Phuong believes that after a while, people will realize the convenience and efficiency that technology brings compared to traditional methods.
Sharing with the officials attending the conference, Head of the Department of Organization and Personnel Le Huong Giang emphasized that the software for managing officials, civil servants, public employees and workers is not from the Department of Organization and Personnel but is a common software of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
The Department of Personnel Organization hopes that units in the Ministry will use the software regularly, thereby discovering errors and suggesting new features. The Department of Personnel Organization is ready to listen to suggestions and will add more features to the software if there is a general need and within the technical conditions.
