Speaking at the workshop, Chairman of the Vietnam Recreational Electronic Sports Association (VIRESA) Do Viet Hung shared about the strong development of e-sports and physical sports in the context of digital transformation. According to Mr. Do Viet Hung, e-sports is no longer a mere entertainment field but has become an important part of the modern sports ecosystem, recognized in international competition systems such as: SEA Games, ASIAD and Olympics. In addition, physical sports, a model combining real-life movements and technology, is also developing rapidly, helping to improve the quality of training and competition with advanced technology solutions.

“We are witnessing a revolution in sports, where the boundaries between traditional sports and digital sports are gradually blurring. Applying technology to sports not only helps improve performance, but also opens the door to bringing sports closer to everyone, especially the younger generation,” emphasized the President of VIRESA.

During the workshop, delegates discussed the role of digital transformation in developing the Olympic movement in Vietnam, from training and coaching to competition organization and athlete management. From there, delegates proposed policies and solutions to promote the application of digital technology in the Vietnamese sports system, contributing to improving competition results and expanding the community sports movement.

Delegates also listened to experiences shared by sports federations, international organizations, and technology businesses in the fields of digital sports, media, sports marketing, and sports economic development; copyright and authorship issues in protecting the rights of individuals and organizations in the digital environment, etc.

Speaking at the workshop, Vice President of the Olympic Committee, Director of the Vietnam Sports and Physical Training Department Dang Ha Viet said that digital transformation is becoming an inevitable trend in all fields, and sports are no exception. Digital transformation not only helps sports people better manage sports events, but also creates new values for national and international sports.

Digital transformation is also an effective tool to help sports managers reduce manual effort, increase accuracy and save time. For coaches and athletes, it helps analyze their performance through measuring devices, sensors and data analysis software, thereby minimizing the risk of injury during training and competition as well as increasing transparency and fairness in deciding results.

Digital transformation will help bring sports activities closer to the community through mobile applications and smart technology devices. Based on that, people can participate in sports in their own way and according to their conditions and time...

Director Dang Ha Viet hopes that experts and managers will actively share and discuss experiences in applying information technology and digital transformation to sports management and the Vietnam Olympic movement in the digital transformation era at agencies and units, contributing to the development of Vietnamese sports in the coming time.

"Hopefully, with the knowledge and ideas shared at the workshop, digital transformation will be the key to helping sports in general and the Olympic movement in particular move towards a stronger, more sustainable and comprehensive future in the digital age," said Mr. Dang Ha Viet.
