Báo Dân tríBáo Dân trí17/07/2024

(Dan Tri) - Tran Viet Hoang, a young man who received a full scholarship from Fulbright University, joined the Tiktok platform as a content creator and has attracted a lot of love from the online community.
Tran Viet Hoang was born and raised in Ha Tinh. Growing up with eyes gradually losing their light, the new Computer Science graduate of Fulbright University Vietnam always shows determination and does not falter in the face of difficulties. In addition to his main job as a programmer, Hoang also challenges himself in many fields, one of which is becoming a creator on the Tiktok platform. In front of the leading popular platform that attracts young people with millions of accounts and among countless videos and images, Viet Hoang's Tiktok channel Hoang Sang Tam emerged in a simple way with his honest sharing. Joining Tiktok for less than a month, with 15 videos posted, the Tiktok channel Hoang Sang Tam has achieved nearly 351,000 likes and more than 17,200 followers. The videos are continuously posted to trend with a stable high number of views.

Not seeing is not an obstacle for content creators. Tiktok channels need to have good, consistent content and images that attract viewers' attention in order to become trendy. Therefore, in the process of building the channel, Viet Hoang also encountered certain difficulties. One of them is that he cannot completely edit his own videos but needs someone to help him find and edit images suitable for the video. Although there are many obstacles behind the scenes of building the channel, Viet Hoang still diligently releases videos every week and fulfills his role as a content creator well. Besides, responding to all comments on Tiktok himself also takes a lot of his time. The interaction rate of "Hoang Sang Tam" is relatively high and stable compared to a normal newly built Tiktok channel. There are hundreds of comments for each video posted, to reply to comments on Tiktok, Viet Hoang needs a support tool, then he will directly reply to everyone's comments on the phone or via a separate keyboard connected to the phone.

Although they cannot see, stories about the daily lives of blind people are not as boring and dull as many people think. On his Tiktok channel, Viet Hoang posted videos about how blind people walk, how they use computers to work, how blind people use Tiktok, etc. His honest sharing received a lot of sympathy and support from the online community. One of the videos with the most views and interactions on the channel with the topic "What do blind people dream about when they sleep?" attracted the online community with nearly 754,000 views and 800 shares. After each interesting story of Viet Hoang is the quote that he wants to build his channel "my eyes are blind but my heart is bright". Not only sitting there and telling stories, this Ha Tinh guy always tries every day not only to help himself but also to participate in many social activities to help people.

Conveying positive energy to the community Sharing the reason for choosing computer science, Hoang said that first of all, it was because of his passion for the industry. When experiencing and exploring this field of study, Viet Hoang loved it and achieved good results in his studies and also earned an income from it. But the most important reason is the desire to help the visually impaired to easily use electronic assistive devices without any obstacles. "Overseas, there are many people pursuing computer science, but in Vietnam, not many people pursue this field. I think the reason why the visually impaired do not dare to pursue this field comes from social prejudices that the visually impaired have difficulty accessing science and technology and they themselves do not have the opportunity to access the industry. I want to pursue computer science to inspire and help the next generation of visually impaired people access computers more comfortably and easily," Tran Viet Hoang shared. In addition to studying and working, Viet Hoang has currently guided 40 visually impaired people to learn programming courses from basic to advanced. Viet Hoang is also one of the people who came up with the idea and developed the HNVision project - a phone application integrated with AI to support visually impaired people in using household appliances. Just like successfully conquering the "roof of Indochina" Fansipan peak, with his will and daily efforts, Tran Viet Hoang always brings positive inspiration and meaningful lessons that have conquered the online community with an increasing number of followers. With the motto "nothing is impossible", he tries his hand in many fields so that his visual impairment does not lose his spirit of learning and working.
Before becoming a Tiktok content creator, Tran Viet Hoang was known to many people as a male student with excellent academic achievements and actively participating in volunteer activities. Some of his outstanding achievements and activities include: - Winning a 2.2 billion VND scholarship from Fulbright University in 2019 - The Light From Within scholarship from The Light From Within organization in 2021; - Third prize in the Vietnamese Culture Research Competition - Faculty of Vietnamese Studies, Fulbright University Vietnam in 2021; - Scholarship and internship training program of Deloitte Auditing Group in 2021; - Wheel Card scholarship of Kunho Entrepreneurs in collaboration with Fulbright University Vietnam in 2021, 2022; - Founding and running the Inner Light Vietnam project - bringing the latest assistive technologies to the visually impaired in Vietnam; - Head of the Vietnam network of visually impaired students; - Volunteer, consultant at "Aspiration" - Fund to support orphans in difficult circumstances; - Collaborate with Nhat Hong Center for the Blind (HCMC) to open a combined programming class.
