AI - an effective support tool in medical communication

In her opening speech, MSc. Do Thi Nam Phuong, Head of the Media Center of University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital, emphasized that AI is opening up great opportunities for the field of medical communications, helping to significantly reduce time and effort in content creation.

MSc. Nam Phuong said: "Previously, drafting or editing an article or a video script could take hours, but now, with the support of AI, communicators can complete it quickly. Moreover, AI also helps optimize content, develop new ideas and suit the needs of patients and customers. Although AI brings many benefits, the real power still lies in the combination of AI and human intelligence. The knowledge, emotions, understanding and creativity of medical professionals are always the core elements in communication. AI is a tool that helps maximize human potential in creating valuable and emotional content."

The Power of AI and the Important Role of Humans

Master Huynh Bao Tuan, lecturer at the Faculty of Industrial Management, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, shared about the potential of large language models such as Generative Pre-trained Transformer (GPT) in supporting content creation. These models are capable of encoding, synthesizing and storing information from all over the world, helping to automate processes such as writing articles, editing content and producing videos.

MSc. Bao Tuan emphasized that although AI can increase work efficiency, humans still play a decisive role in creating meaningful and emotional content. "AI can help us systematize and process information, but human creativity and emotion are still important factors to create breakthroughs in medical communication content. The combination of linguistic intelligence, emotional intelligence and visual intelligence is the foundation for medical content creators to create high-quality communication products."

Unleashing the Full Potential of AI in Video Creation

Ms. Le Thi Bao Ngoc, Director of Training and Communications at Doctor Network - Head of MCV Academy, shared practical experiences in using AI to optimize the content creation process. Ms. Ngoc emphasized that AI is a powerful support tool, especially in creating professional short videos, from idea generation, topic selection to final editing.

Ms. Ngoc explained that for AI to work effectively, it is necessary to provide clear and complete input commands. Effective commands need to include data about the context, the subject, specific information, as well as output requirements about the content format (text, image, video). "When having this data, AI will help medical professionals come up with preliminary ideas, from which they can easily focus on the deep human values in their content," Ms. Ngoc shared.

The KMOLs workshop series will continue with topic number 9 "Content creation with smart devices" scheduled to take place at 2:00 p.m. on September 20 at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Hospital.
