Tonight, January 3, at the Provincial Cultural - Cinema Center, the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Quang Tri Radio and Television Station and the Provincial Red Cross Association jointly organized the program "Connecting loving arms" in Quang Tri province, spring of At Ty - 2025.

Speaking at the program, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province Dao Manh Hung emphasized: For the past 20 years, every time Tet comes, the program "Connecting loving arms - Tet for the poor" has received the golden hearts of agencies, units, armed forces, businesses, international organizations, humanitarian charities, Quang Tri fellow countrymen's association, and philanthropists inside and outside the province.

Continuing the love and responsibility of society towards difficult circumstances, the program "Connecting loving arms" spring At Ty - 2025 is multiplied with humane meaning with a higher mission, which is to respond to the call to join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide in 2025 launched by the Prime Minister.

In the past 5 years, with the joint efforts of organizations and individuals inside and outside the province through the program "Linking Hands of Love" and the "For the Poor" Fund, Quang Tri has supported the construction of 1,860 new houses for poor households, donated over 335 Tet gifts, 21,000 warm clothes to children in the highlands and many other practical gifts for victims of Agent Orange, people with disabilities, orphans, families affected by natural disasters, epidemics, people in difficult circumstances... with a total value of more than 310 billion VND.

Currently, the province still has about 4,000 temporary, dilapidated houses that need to be rebuilt. The province is determined to complete the goal of eliminating temporary, dilapidated houses for poor households and people with meritorious services in the province by August 2025.

To continue to take better care of the poor, focusing on the goal of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province call on cadres, party members, workers in agencies, organizations, units, armed forces in the province, the business community and all people to join hands and contribute to eliminating all temporary and dilapidated houses for families with difficult policies, poor households and near-poor households.

The motto of action is "Everyone helps, those who have money contribute money, those who have work contribute work, those who have a lot contribute a lot, those who have a little contribute a little" to create great solidarity, join hands to support the poor and those in difficult circumstances, not leaving anyone behind in the era of national development.

On this occasion, the organizing committee presented 15 solidarity houses (VND 70 million for houses in mountainous areas, VND 60 million for houses in the plains) and Tet gifts to 15 families facing housing difficulties; and presented 20 gifts to poor families.

In addition to the households receiving gifts directly at the program, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province will coordinate with sponsors and localities to review and select to hand out Tet gifts to other disadvantaged households before the Lunar New Year - 2025.

According to the statistics, by the end of the program, the organizing committee had received many gifts and donations from charitable organizations and individuals inside and outside the province with a total value of about 170 billion VND and 30,000 Tet gifts for the poor.
