The art program "Countryside Talk" will take place on the evening of September 18.

Acting Director of the Vietnam Cheo Theater, People's Artist Tuan Cuong, said: "The recent storm and flood have severely affected many northern provinces, including the capital Hanoi. The damage caused by storm No. 3 and the flood has not been fully recorded yet, but we have witnessed many losses and heartaches. Therefore, as an artist, bringing songs and voices to share the loss with the community is very necessary. Immediately after receiving instructions from the leaders of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on implementing charity art programs to support people affected by storms and floods, my fellow artists and I were very supportive. We have planned and decided to organize the art program "Countryside Confessions" on the evening of September 18. All revenue from the program will be donated to people affected by storms and floods."

"Through the art program "Countryside Confessions", the Theater wishes to share the pain and loss of people severely affected by storm No. 3 (storm Yagi). At the same time, it arouses the kindness and noble gestures of companions, benefactors, artists and especially the kind hearts of the audience, thereby contributing to the Party and State to quickly overcome the consequences of storms and floods, and restore people's lives" - People's Artist Tuan Cuong expressed.

The program will donate all of its revenue to people affected by storms and floods.

The art program "Countryside Confessions" was written and rearranged by People's Artist Tuan Cuong from plays that have won high awards in performances and festivals such as: Monochord solo (Suy Van); Cheo singing (Mother's Hometown); Lullaby; Orchestral ensemble (Countryside);...

People's Artist Tuan Cuong said: "In the program, the quintessence and uniqueness of Cheo theater will be introduced to the audience. In addition, the highlight of the program that I want to convey to the audience is the optimistic, resilient and indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese people in the face of storms and natural disasters. Because our country has gone through ups and downs, hardships, from war, to natural disasters, epidemics..., but the Vietnamese people are always resilient and united to overcome everything. Along with that, the spirit of solidarity, sharing, "the healthy leaves cover the torn leaves" is also clearly shown in the program".

The program also aims to encourage people to overcome all difficulties and look towards the future.

As an artist participating in the program, Meritorious Artist Thuy Dung expressed: "In the past few days, what touched me most was witnessing the patriotism, solidarity and resilience of the Vietnamese people. After the storm and flood, many hearts of "mutual love and sharing" were multiplied through volunteer activities, support and donations. The art program "Countryside Confessions" organized at this time is very meaningful to encourage people to overcome all difficulties, look towards the future, and also aims to raise donations to support localities affected by storms and floods. Therefore, as an artist, I am willing to contribute my small efforts, bring my singing voice to spread those good messages as well as call for support from the community and society to help compatriots in difficulty".

Currently, the artists are working hard to prepare for a program that is complete in both art and charity activities. The program will feature performances by artists from two art troupes of the Vietnam Cheo Theater such as: Meritorious Artist Thuy Dung, Meritorious Artist Kim Lien, Meritorious Artist Tuan Tai, Meritorious Artist Thanh Mai, Meritorious Artist Thu Thuy, Meritorious Artist Phu Kien...

This is a program taking place within the plan of performing art programs directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to 12 theaters under the Ministry, to raise funds and support people in the northern provinces and cities that suffered heavy damage caused by storms and floods./.
