This evening, December 29, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung visited and encouraged financial and banking units to close books and complete financial settlement at the end of 2023, including: Provincial State Bank Branch and Department of Finance.

According to reports from units, 2023 is a very difficult year for the Vietnamese economy in general and the province in particular.

However, with the efforts of the entire political system and the proactive, flexible, harmonious and close coordination of the financial and banking sectors, inflation has been controlled, macroeconomic stability has been maintained, and the province's socio-economic recovery and development has been supported, and market developments have been promptly adapted. Accordingly, the province's economy has continued to recover and grow positively.

In 2023, the entire banking system mobilized VND 3,700 billion with a growth rate of 13%, and bad debt was controlled at 0.97%. The financial and banking sector has also promoted digital transformation and actively reformed administration to ensure the rights of customers and people, contributing to the socio-economic development of the locality.

Recognizing and praising the efforts of the State Bank of Vietnam Branch and the Department of Finance in recent times, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung believes that the achieved results will create momentum to help the units continue to successfully carry out their tasks in 2024 and the following years.

At the same time, it is recommended that units continue to proactively carry out professional tasks; effectively implement monetary, credit and financial mechanisms and policies to contribute to supporting and removing difficulties for people and businesses, promoting the recovery and development of production and business.

Focus on leading, directing and performing well the state management function of finance, budget, prices, fees, charges, public assets... Well manage the local budget according to the assigned estimates; tighten financial and budgetary discipline; be open and transparent in state budget revenue and expenditure, basic construction investment, management and use of public assets and land. Thereby contributing to increasing sustainable budget revenue sources for the locality, creating important resources to help the province well perform the assigned socio-economic development tasks.

On the occasion of the New Year 2024, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung presented flowers and sent wishes of health and happiness to the collective of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers of the units. At the same time, he requested the collective of the units to continue to unite and strive to successfully complete the assigned tasks, actively contributing to the overall development of the province.
