On the afternoon of January 30, the Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee issued an urgent dispatch directing Vinh Loc district to overcome the consequences of the fire that killed 3 people in village 4, Vinh Hung commune, Vinh Loc district; Provincial Police; provincial departments, branches, agencies, units; People's Committees of districts, towns, and cities to strengthen fire prevention and fighting work before, during, and after the Lunar New Year and the Spring Festival in 2024.

At around 11:45 p.m. on January 29, a house fire broke out in Village 4, Vinh Hung Commune, Vinh Loc District, killing three people in the same family. On behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee sent his condolences to the relatives and families of the victims.

At the same time, to ensure fire safety and rescue, minimize the number of incidents and damage caused by fires and explosions during the 2024 Lunar New Year, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested: The Chairman of the Vinh Loc District People's Committee directs the organization of thoughtful visits, encouragement, and material and spiritual support for the victims' families; closely coordinate with the Provincial Police and related units to organize the overcoming of the consequences of the fire; promptly investigate to clarify the cause of the fire, strictly handle violations (if any) according to the provisions of law.

The Director of the Provincial Police Department directed professional and functional units to urgently investigate and clarify the cause of the fire and organize inspections, assessments, and lessons learned from the fire; propose serious handling of relevant groups and individuals if violations are detected.

Strengthening State management activities on fire prevention and fighting and rescue, especially inspection, guidance and propaganda activities on fire prevention and fighting and rescue in many forms and with diverse and rich content to convey to each household and each person such as: Synchronous propaganda along densely populated streets, residential areas with high risk of fire and explosion, guiding households on measures to ensure fire prevention and fighting safety in the use of electricity, gasoline, oil, liquefied petroleum gas, burning incense, burning votive papers...; organizing practical activities and experiences on fire prevention and fighting and rescue periodically every week and month, focusing on fire fighting and escape skills for people, students; improving the quality and effectiveness of inspection and guidance activities on fire prevention and fighting and rescue, organizing the signing of commitments to ensure fire prevention and fighting safety at establishments and households to be completed before the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024.

Localities need to strengthen and promote the effectiveness of the models "Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Interfamily Group" and "Public Fire Fighting Point".

Continue to promote the effectiveness of the models of "Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Inter-family Groups" and "Public Fire Fighting Points" that have been built. Regularly organize fire fighting and rescue plan practice at the models and prepare the necessary conditions to organize Fire Fighting and Rescue Competitions for "Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Inter-family Groups".

Be responsible to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee if there is a lack of responsibility in directing, inspecting, and urging, causing major fires and explosions that cause serious damage to people and property at the unit or locality within the scope of management.
