Dang Cat Tien (class 9/3, Thai Nguyen Secondary School, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province) once played the role of "Children's National Assembly President", successfully chairing a mock session. This talented female student has a series of impressive achievements in both studying and social activities. She is one of 20 nominees for Outstanding Young Vietnamese Faces (GMTVNTB) in 2023.

Dang Cat Tien is the youngest face and the only student to appear in the 20 nominations of GMTVNTB in 2023. When meeting Cat Tien, people are easily attracted by her intelligence, confidence and friendly smile.
Cat Tien loves to explore science, learn about Biology, Physics, History, Geography and study both natural and social sciences. However, the subject that Tien especially loves is English. She aims to be the top student in English at the city and provincial levels when she enters high school and further, win an English Olympic medal. “Every day I spend about 15 minutes studying English. The important thing to study effectively is to really understand and study with passion,” Cat Tien said.

In addition to her passion for exploring knowledge, from a young age, Cat Tien also participated in skill training courses and demonstrated her versatility in playing musical instruments, singing, drawing, swimming, etc. Tien has achieved many admirable achievements, such as: First Prize in the National Young Historian Contest 2021; Second Prize in the National Reading Culture Ambassador Contest 2021; First Prize in the English Contest for provincial-level team leaders; won the title of "Brave Hero of a Thousand Good Deeds" at the provincial level in 2023; First Prize in storytelling in the provincial-level "Uncle Ho's Immense Love" contest in 2020...
According to the Board of Directors of Thai Nguyen Secondary School, Cat Tien is an excellent student of the school, with excellent achievements when she continuously leads grades 6, 7, and 8 with almost perfect scores.

Sharing her secret to studying, Cat Tien revealed that she needs to find her passion and pursue that passion to achieve success, and the same goes for studying.
Training to grow
In addition to her academic achievements, Cat Tien also actively participates in volunteer activities for community life. Since she was a primary school student, Cat Tien has been active in the activities of the Team and the school movement. This has helped her gradually mature, cultivate confidence and necessary skills.
Becoming the leader of the primary school, then the secondary school, Cat Tien has many experiences from movement activities. In particular, the experience that Cat Tien will never forget is the honor of becoming the " Children's National Assembly Chairman ", successfully chairing the first mock session held in Hanoi from September 9-10, 2023.
Cat Tien shared that to play the role of “ Mrs. President ”, she had thoroughly researched the guidelines, policies, and laws issued by the Party, State, National Assembly, and Government related to children. At the same time, she proactively researched and learned about the current situation of children. From there, she made comments and solutions to effectively answer the delegates’ questions.
In her free time, Cat Tien and volunteer groups often go to SOS Children's Villages, highlands, islands... to perform violin and teach children in difficult circumstances .
Regarding future plans, Cat Tien hopes to be able to implement projects to support scientific research funds, to bring ideas, inventions and innovations into life, serving the country's development.
